Drop the recipe

2 cups flour 1 ½ cups of beer 2 teaspoons garlic powder 1 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon pepper

Coat the onion slices in that and fry in oil

A touch overdone, maybe. Burned onions get bitter.

These were still plenty sweet, we used yellow onion.

I may be alone in really liking overcooked onion rings, so these look fine to me so long as you got some ranch lol

The sauce I made for them was a mix of ranch, mayonnaise, ketchup and Melinda's Verde sauce for a little spice. They were very good.
