Monitor repeatedly displays acer logo then turns off

The monitor is an acer predator x27u, this started last night when I went to switch my monitor over to HDMI input from display port after powering on my xbox. It basically turned itself off and now any time I try to turn it on it displays the Acer Predator logo like normal, and then turns off. The power light will show solid blue, and then flicker blue/orange for a second or two before going completely off. My PC still recognizes the monitor as a display even while “off”, and I can drag things onto that screen on my desktop even though I cant see it.
What I’ve tried:
-unplugged and replugged every cord numerous times
-plugged monitor directly into the wall
-plugged monitor into different power strip
-too many power cycles to count, of the monitor, my pc, and my xbox
-uninstalled and reinstalled monitor profile on my pc
-updated gpu drivers
-Tried a different power cord that works on my other monitor (it has to plug into the AC adapter box which then plugs into the problem monitor, so thinking the AC adapter could have shit out— Ive got a new one coming tomorrow)
-Cursed angrily
-Smacked the top of the monitor, my grandpa used to this to the tv and it would work
-tried the flash light test to check for blown capacitors, not suspecting that
-Acer logo looks completely normal for the brief moment it pops up so the monitor does not seem broken?
-The issue still happens when the monitor is only plugged into power with no other cords plugged in, so theoretically an issue with the monitor itself
My main two thoughts are that it’s either a problem with the power cord, specifically the AC adapter box part, or that I have somehow gotten the monitor stuck on the wrong input. I was half asleep when doing this so I could have picked the wrong input and it could be bugging out and not automatically switching to the correct input. The problem I ran into with this is that since this monitor only has the single external button to pull up its menu settings, I have no way of manually changing the input. So if this theory is possibly correct then that seems like an awful design flaw and I’m not sure how to get around it or force the monitor to switch back over to DP or HDMI.
Im hoping it’s just an issue with the power cord, but I am a little confused as to how this only started at the exact moment that I switched inputs. It’s one of those things where I feel like the answer could be really simple and make me feel really dumb, but because I am overthinking it I just haven’t found the simple answer yet. I spent 3 hours last night trying to figure this out, please help me before I go insane

It's 100% an issue with the monitor, I have the acer predator xb271hu bmiprz. Had for 6 years. For the first 4 years, anytime I shut power to my pc to open it up to swap components, i had this happen. Unfortunately, it's been a while since I had to fix it because one day it just stopped happening. I vaguely remember the steps I found on a YouTube video(tried searching it again, but it must've been deleted)
//steps Assuming you have a 2nd monitor or TV you can use, plug into that and boot pc up.
Uninstall your video drivers entirely, reboot. And here's where I can't quite remember. You're either supposed to then plug back into the acer monitor, and when it works, install drivers. Or install drivers before swapping back to acer. //
From what I remember, the explanation was that the monitor with display port is bugging out and going into a sleep/hibernate mode and can't come out of it. Uninstalling gpu drivers gives it a reset somehow.
If this does end up fixing it, set your Windows settings to never deep sleep monitor again and never turn off. I just had to manually turn it off each time. Wish I could be more help, but it's a pretty common issue with these acer predator monitors iirc from my days googling fixes.

The monitor does this when connected to my xbox Series X as well. It's not every start up but will happen for 20 minutes and then power on finally. XV272U model

I have 2 XV272U, and they both started doing this after a power outage last night.
Before that I was already having problems with them; I'd had to disable Windows putting them to sleep, because when I woke them up something would happen where all my apps and the task bar would move to a single monitor.
Right now I'm staring at 2 $400 bricks that I bought 2 years ago, and I'll never give Acer another penny.
