In order to take it apart you need a hex screw driver to take the stock off and you need a punch set in order to take the receiver apart and remove the bolt and trigger group.

You need a punch to remove the trigger group from most firearms, like an AR and most modern handguns, btw. Depending on the handgun, you'll need a hex as a lot of them use hex for their grips. Neither of those are uncommon.

Im not buying tools in 2025 to clean a rifle.

You don't need to pull the bolt and trigger group to clean a .22. Maybe once every 60k rounds if you really want to I guess, but my 10/22s have more than that through them and the only time I've removed the stock was to add a binary trigger to it or put it in a different stock. It's unnecessary. Just spray it down with CLP every few range trips, wipe it down, and lube that bitch. You're done.

I get it. Most of us were meticulous with cleaning all our rifles, especially fairly early into our ownership journey. Eventually, most of us get to the point where we figure out a good middle ground between spotless and causing issues with function. For fun guns like a 10/22, keep running it till it screams at you to stop, then clean it.
