Need help, planning to buy a 3050 6gb card

I can get a 3050 for ₹13K (~$150)—is it worth it? The RX 6600 costs ₹7K more. Mostly need it for casual gaming, competitive titles like Apex and Valorant, and some new AAA games.

There is a high likelihood the 3050 may result in dissatisfaction; the 6600 is consistently recommended as the better choice across reddit threads...especially for the new AAA games.

Ya, i saw reviews and all the benchmark, but the 6600 cost 7k more.

What is your current GPU?

I was using a 2200g apu🫣🫣

If you can tolerate playing with resolutions below 1080p, that may tie you over until you can save the additional funds for both a 6600 and a more powerful CPU to pair...

If that's your budget it's better to go second hand. Rtx 2060 super/2070 go for around that much.

Yeah, that’s what I was thinking too. But a second-hand card only gets a max of 6 months warranty, and there’s no guarantee it’ll last if it has any issues. That’s what worries me.

do you have any places that have longer warranty? i am in the uk and cex gives you 2 years warranty for second hand items a lot of the time.

I would personally get the 3050 for DLSS, RX 6600 has slightly more VRAM so newer titles may benefit a little more from that but I wouldn’t buy it just for that reason personally.
