Did anyone else make a mistake buying a Simba Mattress?

I've got an Emma mattress and it's bloody awful. Most nights I wake up in a puddle of sweat due to the poor airflow. It's got two massive splits that go pretty much the whole way through the mattress on both edges. Definitely not going to get an Emma mattress again. On the other hand, I had an Otty mattress and that was amazing. Only replaced it due to going from a double to a king size bed.

I had to buy an eightsleep to combat this, the wife has no issue. We did try to buy a more premium mattress from John Lewis but they couldn't get it up the stairs... So mattresses in a box it was

Can’t live without it. There are a lot of negative reviews out there but honestly ours have been fine. We had one leak with our old Pod 3 Cover, it was replaced free of charge with a newer Pod 4 cover where they seem to have fixed the design and no problems ever since. It’s been over 2 years I think. It is a huge price to pay but imo absolutely worth it for a good nights sleep

Agreed. And they feature at the top of any ‘best mattress’ list. It was fine for a short while but then majorly sags and when there are two people in the bed it’s like sleeping on a camber. An absolute triumph of marketing over quality. Awful and I’d urge anyone not to fall for it.

I'm going to buy a new mattress in the spring, I've been using a latex one for nearly 15 years now It's held up really well, it's firm, but also comfortable, but I need to replace with a double I did ponder getting a Simba, but despite all the marketing hype, the more I read about them, the more I was turned off. I really have no idea what to get now.

The so called excuse for a mattress sagged really badly and we aren’t overweight. They sent some clown out to measure the dip and of course his report was not in our favour. Blamed everything but simba themselves. They wouldn’t budge on replacement or refund. I hound them on Facebook as much as possible and they keep blocking me. I do t want to even talk about them anymore lol. Good luck

Had a top of the range Simba super king a few years ago and it sagged badly after a couple of months. We did the turning etc as required. Complained and eventually got them to send out some actor with a wooden stick who pretended to take ages measuring dips. He then wrote a report saying it was fine and in sagging limits 🙄. They wouldn’t take it back. Never again. Absolute thieves.

Had the Hybrid for a year and noticed a bulge/layers separating on one side. It would be nice to make it clear at the point of purchase that you need to rotate it every few months (not easy if you live on your own, or are simply physically unable). Plus, don't forget to measure your bed slats to ensure the spacing is less than 3 inches. Personally, I don't think they are fit for purpose for a lot of people.

Just emailed them as our second mattress in a year has layers separating. First one after 3 months and now after a 9/10 months. In different places. The first one was on the end of the bed and now on the sides. We rotate every month or so. I think it is the glue failing and nothing to do with rotation. Love the mattress but dont think this should be happening. Agree that they are not fit for purpose!

Not sure why everyone keeps buying Simba and Emma. Origin is a much better mattress. It's so much more comfortable than anything else I've tried. [Sleepline's review](https://www.sleepline.com/origin-hybrid-pro-lumbarcloud-mattress-review/) of it is really good (actually mentions both good things and bad things about it unlike other reviewers).

Just sent ours back today after having it 2 weeks the hybrid luxe one was like sleeping on concrete also felt very flimsy and from day 1 it squeaked everytime u sat on it!! Not worth the money weve put our old mattress back on and apologised to it for betraying it 😂

It was good for a couple of years. but now it is a saggy mess with big depressions. Which, honestly, I did not expect. We've had it in the 6-10 year sweet spot where they say a 45mm sag is "OK" and we're on the line there - I've asked for a replacement, but I am not expecting to get anywhere. I have a great deal of regret in purchasing this mattress. I would say avoid!

I have owned the very first version of Simba mattress, which I sold after a few years as I was sick of sleeping hot. I replaced that with a £1200 pocket sprung mattress. I slept cooler on it, but this ultimately dipped in the very middle after 4-5 weeks! It was replaced with the same model and the mattress did it again within a few months. I then decided to try the newer version of Simba (Supposedly sleeps cooler) about 4 years ago, and for the first 1-2 years it was amazing to sleep on, but now it feels less and less supportive. I've had my sprung slat bed now for 8 years, so it could be the bed that's at fault and needs replacing. Still, I think they certainly aren't worth the price they ask for them. I wish I could have the mattress I had when I was a teenager that I slept for 12 hours straight in that probably cost £150 :D

We have two simbas, we have a double which we had in a flat which was a double bed and the simba was incredible I absolutely love it. Then we moved to a bigger place which allowed for a king bed and got the exact same mattress but in king size and it’s is so bad in comparison. I don’t know what has happened apart from the size difference they feel like totally different mattresses. We still have the double in the spare room now but the difference in comfort from the double to the king is very noticeable.

I bought a Simba Hybrid Pro a couple of years ago, it came with a mattress protector woop and I paid £989. I'd say that it's ok and not fabulous, I don't wake up in any more agony than I did on the dreams mattress that it replaced, it's probably not worth what I paid for it.

We've had it a few years ago and it was absolutely the worst, we woke up covered in sweat every night! With or without mattress protector, it was always the same. Also we like to watch movies in bed sort of sitting upright but you can't comfortably do that in a memory foam mattress. Returned within their free returns period.
