Silly question: What’s the first thing you think of when I refer to Sheffield?

Just watching an episode of Doctor Who where a character mentions Sheffield, and my mind went immediately to the film *Threads*. Now, I’m from the US. The most similar seminal traumatic nuclear disaster flicks for my generation were *The Day After,* which took place in and around Kansas City, and to a lesser degree *Special Report,* which involved a nuclear terrorist attack at Charleston, South Carolina. I don’t have any primary association of those cities with nuclear disaster, though it does occur to me on considering them for more than a minute. Likewise I’ve seen *Fail Safe, Sum of All Fears* et al and don’t have any particular association of NYC or Baltimore with a nuclear strike. So how strong is the association of Sheffield to the imaginary disastrous events of that film? And if none, what are your own associations with Sheffield?
