Hello lovelies. My 10 year old PC needs some help but I know next to nothing.

To be clear from the outset, I have no local PC shops as I'm in the arse end of nowhere. Similarly I have no people to impart their computer knowledge upon me, so I'm hoping someone here can help or just give me the bad but honest truth. I'm happy at trying to replace parts myself if it is worth/possible to upgrade. My current PC: Processor Intel Core i7-6700K CPU @ 4.00GHz Motherboard ASUSTeK Z170-PRO RAM Kingston Hyper X Predator DDR4 16GB x 4 (64GB) Graphics Card Palit JetStream Geforce GTX 1070 Storage Samsung SSD 970 EVO 500GB m.2 & 4TB HDD PSU 650W OS Windows 10 Screens 1440p Monitor (Primary) & 4k 40" TV (Secondary) I mostly play games and use it for video watching, along with work although that isn't intensive on the system. Data transfer is a big issue however, so I'd like a motherboard that can transfer to USB as fast as possible, with lots of outputs, and with a decent bluetooth connection as I use a few things at once. I play stuff like Stellaris which can get pretty laggy in the mid to late game now, and recently No Mans Sky which runs pretty well on average graphic settings. Thankfully my cozy stardew type games are all good! :) I'd love to upgrade my graphics card but I'm on a limited budget and feel like a motherboard and updated CPU would be my best option. I've had intermittent problems with the ASUS board since I bought it so don't think I want to use them again. I'm unable to upgrade often so I always like to buy stuff that will last as long as possible. I've been looking at motherboards and some are saying that for certain features they need Windows 11 to operate, for instance the latest WiFi protocols (which I guess means faster internet speed?). My CPU isn't supported for Windows 11 according to the system check which is also going to be an issue next year, so another reason to upgrade that I think. Looking at CPU stuff, it looks like AMD is the way to go. But would my GPU work with an AMD chip and board? And the RAM? If so, which are the best CPUs for my needs? Looking at data transfer it looks like Thunderbolt 4 is the best option? Although I'm struggling to see that option on the few boards I've looked at so far and am a bit lost in all the other options. Is it also worth changing the RAM if my current stuff is out of date? Or is that ok? I think I could budget £600/700 or thereabouts. I'm in the UK. If anyone has any ideas to help me in this quest I would be very grateful. Thank you.
