On politey asking Google to cast Paw Patrol to the Living Room TV my 3 year old has corrected me and said..."it's 'not a Living Room it's the Lounge".
is he correct? Or has my parenting simply failed to bring my children up.witb the appropriate well spoken English that my parents attempted to instil in me?
Put me to rights Reddit - the potential renaming of my Google Home devices hangs in the balance.

I'm not automatically correct, but I do call it a "lounge"

Sitting room is polite English or drawing room. Living room comes from America and lounge is regarded as vulgar in certain circles.

Yes but as my 8 year old joked with me. In a zombie apocalypse which is the best room to hide in?- The LIVING room! . Bad-boom-ba-shoosh
