Fiber

I have decided to say F cholesterol and just not worry about it. Something in my family genes makes us have high cholesterol. My mom (who is 5' 2" and maybe 110 lbs soaking wet) has always had high cholesterol. She rarely eats meat, and even then mostly chicken or pork. Only 1-2x/month red meat or less, if that. She eats tons of grains, fruits, & veggies. Lots of oatmeal, whole grains, cereals. My grandmother (her mom) lived to be 84 and smoked a pack a day until her last 2-3 years, and all but refused to eat lean meat. She'd eat the fatty part first. Red meat, pork, chicken, anything. She had high cholesterol all her life and made it that far with that hard of living. I've always had high cholesterol ever since I was a kid once during a check up at the pediatrician I remember the doc talking about my blood C results being elevated and they asked if we'd changed our diet. The only thing my mom could think of was we'd had "pizza week" in elementary school that week. Apparently it's not hurting us so let's just stop worrying about it. I've gotten to the point where I tell the doc at my annual welness exam, my cholesterol is going to be high, it always is. I'm not worried about it.
