Silver in MCO cancels all flights... Anyone got any intel?

Silver canceled all MCO flights. Silver filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in December. Anyone have any intel? A few years ago I was offered a job at Seaborne flying the Twin Otter on floats. Didn't take it for many, many reasons even though I really wanted to fly the TO on floats. Silver had $$$ problem with gate fees, etc at MCO so they pulled out completely. Ironically, TPA-FLL service/schedule and back has gotten SO much better since they shut down operations. Prices are good and overall travel is great if they can keep to a schedule. Have flown them a lot back and forth from FLL to TPA. But at times the lack of flight alert info and no App has been an issue. The route market is available since SW dropped from 3 to 1 daily TPA-FLL flights. Silver could be a great small airline if they could just keep on time, provide flight alerts and offer an App. I like Silver but my day business trips require a dependable and reliable departure times. Hope they can pull out from chapter 11. The TPA-FLL route can be lucrative if Silver schedule were reliable.

All I know is that a bunch of airlines in UK/Europe will be desperately scrambling to get ahold of some of those ATRs

Company email said they will vastly reduce ATR fleet size (which is already at 12) They’re basically a Caribbean airline now flying US registered aircraft.

Flown with a couple ex-Silvers recently. The general consensus seems to be some form of "are they really still in business?"

I meet them at recruiting events twice. At Sun N Fun 2023 they seemed to be hiring a lot, they were even one of the only 121 carriers to offer visas to Australian pilots Talked to them at RTAG 2024. Their consensus was “why are we even here?”

Two months ago I was at a gate in Florida. I saw a silver badged plane. I asked the cpt who they were. All he said was soon to be bankrupt.

I know they filed in December... I see that news reports are saying they filed for CH11 in the headlines, but the text seems to detail it was in Dec 24. Where did you see a new filing today? Apparently 4/7 airplanes in the fleet were downed. Can’t answer anything about MCO though…
