PSU that is needed for a Ryzen 7 9700x and a GTX 3070?

Hey all, I’m currently upgrading my CPU to the Ryzen 7 9700x. My current PSU is 600w. Would I need to upgrade my PSU if so, what PSU would you recommend, or would 600w be good enough? Thanks!

Go for 850W. You could get a Corsair RMx850 or Seasonic GX-850, both have 10 year warranties. Check [this](https://psuprices.org/) out.

750w to 850w should be a bit better. You can get away with the 600w if it's a solid psu though.

what are you upgrading from gpu is really the big power consumer, so if it's working now I don't see that it would change

I’ve had the 600w PSU and the gtx 3070 for around 2 years. The CPU I used to have was the i7 8700.
