Simply that, I miss her on BBC radio 2, I’m hoping she’s coming back soon, anyone know if she’s been replaced now?

I much preferred Michelle Visage tbh.

Her X post says: ’I'm preparing for my return to [u/BBCRadio2](https://x.com/BBCRadio2) & gathering Break A Leg messages! So if you’re starring in an amateur musical this Spring, email [Elaine@bbc.co.uk](mailto:Elaine@bbc.co.uk) & let me know the details! You know it’ll be great to have your show promoted on The Station of the Nation! See you soon.

Doesn't she usually take a wee break from her show at this time each year? Michelle Visage has done a pretty good job covering for her. But I am looking forward to Elaine's return.

I think it’s a bit too modern! Perhaps I’m too old!

Came to say this, I think Michelle is doing a solid enough job, even if I love Elaine. Maybe if she does leave they'll get another musicals legend like Michael Ball in to replace her?

Oh I don't like to think of Elaine stopping her show. She's definitely been there for at least 20 years as I remember her show being on at my weekend job. Probably how I got into it 🤣 She once gave a shout out to a colleague who was leaving. I think getting Michael Ball in would see a major shake up of the Sunday daytime R2 schedule. He does the love show section now (RIP Steve Wright) which is on in the mornings. He might be the show on just before Elaine's if I've got it right. Michael is a good fit for Sundays but nearly 5 hours would be a lot. But I can't think who else who would fit. Elaine is a national treasure. Irreplaceable!

Drying out somewhere? She often seems more than a little bit, shall we say, "tipsy" whenever she's presenting on Radio 2.
