Xena because she would side with the resistance and kick Zio ass while Gabby would be a handwringing liberal crying about where people will go if they leave stolen land and when Xena says "Back where they came from Gabrielle, to their homes which they left to come steal land here for the sake of some ancient prophecy!" Gabby will handwring some more while WW as the Zio massacres a hospice claiming it must be cleansed of evil, and that's when Gabby starts helping the resistance.

Xena would kick ass if WW isn't the Zio version because Xena doesn't need divinity or superpowers to be a badass warrior!

The fans would win! I still wish they’d release the Xena and Wonder Woman crossover comic that was written and drawn, but then cancelled at the very last minute.

As for who would win - it would depend upon who was writing. Both Xena and Diana have fought and defeated gods and monsters and both are demigods (at least in my head canon). If they wanted to have Xena win, then she’d find some way to subdue Diana - likely using the lasso of truth. If they wanted Diana to win, then she’d find some way to stop Xena.

Yes … however, it all depends on the writing. Diana’s villains are often “nerfed” whenever they appear in other titles. I think Catwoman knocked out Cheetah with ease - Cheetah?! A woman empowered by a god with super speed that is meant to rival The Flash.

So much of it just comes down to the writing. On the whole, obviously Wonder Woman would be the victor. I think she’s moved planets, can fly through space without any equipment, is often depicted as truly immortal or basically a complete goddess, etc.

At the same time, she’ll struggle against someone like Harley Quinn if she appears in a Batman title.

Yeah the mistreatment towards Wondy for the sake of this mortal batman hero is completely wrong. I've always hated how much the writers would need both superman and Wondy for the sake of that broody batman character.

But I would say, of the writing is consistent in both direction, then Wondy would automatically win, since she is the goddess. Xena would struggle cause even Ares and Athena wasn't that all-powerful.

going with the version we see in their respective universes, Wonder Woman would win easily. while Xena is probably a better fighter, there's nothing she could do to hurt Wonder Woman at all. Diana is essentially invulnerable and generally considered to be nearly as strong as Superman.

I dont want a Wonder Woman/ Xena crossover. I believe that Xena is the more feminist of the two shows and wasn't bastardized for money and censorship.

WWs origin story, in my opinion, was a kink reverse engineered to fit psychology or feminist ideas. Then once the author died the network made WW a pretty little sexy girly for the male gaze.

Yeah, people don't want to accept it. But we've revision wonder woman several times. The original Marston Wondy was pretty out there, and considered a femdom(?), engage in lots of kinky women sexual liberation message. After Lynda Carter they basically reinvent Wondy into this classy, 50s nice ideal girlfriend woman who just so happens to be a goddess -- basically turn her into female superman.

So every wonder woman film from then on had to recharacterize, reinvent our girl into this stoic, warrior who is unfeeling and can't even fathom romance. Didn't Gadot's Wondy still hasn't lose her v-card?? I'm guessing the film trying to say doing it with woman doesn't count 🙄 This is why DC leaves Wondy in the dust, it's too hard to write and reinvent her everytime. We should just go back to the Marston Wondy, if they commit to it do you realize how groundbreaking Wondy would've been back then?? Marston did turn out to be a weird dude but at least he was bold in his message.
