Yeah, I've heard they stopped being active in 2a legal issues, and there are rumors the NRA leadership has been milking donations to give themselves opulent compensation packages. Like yachts, helicopters, mansions, vacations, etc... I've no idea if that 100% true, but that's what I've heard. I've also heard the NRA today is more oriented to spring FUDD's, or whatever types more interested in hunting, and less about advocating 2A rights. Seems like other items like GOA have taken over in that space, and it makes me wonder what is even the point of the NRA? I mean, I could care less if they move to North Texas, but the mind boggles why they even still exist.

They're more of an industry group than a civil rights group, so they tend not to say much when someone's rights have been violated by law enforcement or the military rather than legislature. Industry depends a lot on law enforcement and military contracts. For example, they were pretty silent on Kenneth Walker's case while the GOA was out pushing his legal defense fund.

I’m not saying my opinion on this is correct, but no way in hell do I want them in my city (or state for that matter), especially when their HQ would be less than 10 miles from one of the more recent mass shootings (Allen outlet mall)!! The last thing we need here is MORE ppl/orgs who are fighting for even LESS practical & common sense gun laws when we already have the MOST lax gun laws already, or maybe 2nd worst since Florida went “concealed carry w/out permit); however im just waiting on our state to say “hold my beer” while we blow away Florida’s latest “lack of gun responsibility”… Or for our govenor, “Hot Wheels”, to say “someone hold my chair!
