After lurking some on your account and posts I've deducted you're from Jordan so I'll try and put what is happening to you into context. Wester Europe is very liberal, every human can live their life whoever they want and you are by law allowed to have any sexuality and you can pronounce that sexuality as long as it doesn't go against the laws. To put it into your specific scenario it would be like banning every other religion than muslim in your country. Now Orbán can not ban LGBTQ movements and neither can any other religion be banned in your country and in reality, it does not affect 99% of the people. Hungary's nr. 1 geopolitical enemy is Russia. Russia is not just an adversary, Russia and the Russian ppl are our enemies. Every war since that country exists we were fighting against them. They obliterated our insurrection against the Haubsburgs in 1848-49, they fought against us during ww1, ww2 and they occupied us for 50 years between 1944 to 1989. In contrast to this Orbán is a traitor to our forefather, our nation and its citizens. Coming out of the communism Hungary was called the "happiest barracks" of the Warsaw pact. We were in a strong econimical position to become a powerhouse of the region. This has deterioriated to the point Hungary is producing the 2nd worst economy results in the EU and only Bulgaria has worse numbers... and they're on an upwards trajectory. The inflation was 14.5%, 17.6% in 2022 and 2023 according to Orbán's statistics bureau (Eurostat had a more bleak outlook with 18 and 25 percent). The middle class has evaporated and the young workforce is leaving the country, according to some estimates it is around 700 000 in a country that counts 10 million souls... Hungary has a large stockpile of ex-soviet material so aid could've been in the form of military equipment which are left to rust in hungarian warehouses. It could be worth gold on the frontlines now and instead he is PAYING to let it rust instead of letting our enemy get killed by it and have our neighbor become a close ally. The migration problem stems from the fact that well of citizens don't have children. The average EU birth rate is 1.46 per woman. Immigration is a way to combat this phenomenon which brings a lot of other issues with it, like integration. I don't want to comment on this too much because even ppl on the sub agree that the ideal landscape would be decreasing the immigration tenfold and better landscape for couples to have children. BTW Orbán and FIDESZ has a bunch of family biased laws and aids in place which works awfully. Our birthrate per woman is down to 1.38 in 2024. Lies and half truths are powerful weapons to mislead people. To disprove these takes a giant effort.
