From Nuneaton, moved to London 13 years ago, family still live there. It was never a great town growing up but there were always things to do, town was populated and the nightlife was busy in the variety of pubs/bars. Now most of the shops are vacant or have become Poundland and it is dead, day or night. It’s interesting to witness from afar just how grim it’s become.

I grew up in Dudley from the 70s to the 90s. It was great but is now a shit hole. Since the late 90s I've lived in Wolverhampton. It was great but is now a shit hole. Fucking hell... I think the problem might be me bringing the tone down. Anyway. Late last year we were visiting Keele University, which was beautiful, and on the way home we thought we'd have a look at a local town. We chose Hanley. Fucking hell... Made Dudley and Wolves appear like a paradise.

I’ve always thought if Dudley was transported closer to London it’d be a really desirable area. The town centre has some lovely historic buildings, there’s the priory park, a great castle & modern college. And loads of nice big houses by the park.

The region: It’s definitely Nuneaton. It gives the national winner (Warrington) a run for its money. The county: Can’t decide between Walsall or Blackheath. Walsall is one of the few places I’ve gone to on a bright sunny day and it still looked like a shithole!

West Midlands is separate from London West Midlands is a region in England, generally quite poor. If you are familiar with Birmingham that is the major city of the West Midlands area. London is the capital city of England in the South East, couple hours from the West Midlands and Birmingham if that makes sense :)
