Wow, too many awesome episodes to choose from. Easier to mention most memorable. One that sticks with me is one where Mulder’s body had been taken over by the bad guy, and the way he tries to act like he’s FBI is hilarious.

I like season 4-6 eps the most. Bad Blood, Small Potatoes, Triangle, Detour, How the Ghosts Stole Christmas, Unusual Suspects, Arcadia. The 1st 3 season has great world building, intro of the mythology/different characters, & MOTW. Old school creepiness filming. It felt like s4 started to feel like more experimental filming & the technology got better. Black & White, Reality Cop Show, continuous one take ep, video game. There was also something about having Vancouver as set location over LA. It gave it more creepiness with some humor.

It’s a toss-up between S4Ep13 (‘Never Again’) with the hallucinogenic tattoo voiced by Jody Foster (Mulder’s on holiday at Graceland, so it’s mainly Scully) and S4Ep19 (‘Synchrony’) the one with the chrono-assassin who freezes people to death. Close runners-up: S4Ep15 (‘Kaddish’) and S1Ep20 (‘Darkness Falls’) I guess I gravitate more towards the ‘monster of the week’ episodes. I lived in Vancouver during the show’s heyday and it was always fun spotting places around town or even people I recognized who got work as extras. A friend of mine once scored a ‘Samuel Heals’ t-shirt from S1Ep18 (‘Miracle Man’) at Value Village. Also, I was working one night in the neighbourhood where it turned out they were filming the episode ‘Zero Sum’ (S4Ep21) and spoke briefly with one of the Teamsters - which was unusual, because the show kept a tight lid on what the plot of each episode was, so how he knew I couldn’t say. But it turned out that what he told me matched the location, so what do I know?
