My nose hairs are so coarse that I can not use trimmers on them. The blunt end of the hair is like wires poking into my nostril and makes my nose raw. I have to pull them out instead. If you do it quickly it doesn’t hurt very much. I also had a Chameleon that i was holding reach up my nose and pull out a fist full of nose hair. It was slow and excruciating. I do not recommend that method.

This advice is fantastic. I don't think I would have considered using a chameleon as a personal groomer, but it's good to know that there are better choices out there like matches and petrol.

I have tweezers on my work desk, it's my thing I fiddle with while thinking etc, if I did not do it daily I would be deaf already haha. They actually grow from a pretty small area of skill so you can get laser treatment to stop it growing in.... But I would miss the feeling of the daily pluck haha. I work from home btw, I don't do that in an office

I pluck them. I have a habit of trying to yank them out as soon as I notice them no matter how tiny they are. I work from home so sometimes I'll fiddle with the tweezers, trying to yank out an ear hair while I work. I work in the basement and at the time the back of my chair faced the door to the outside as this was a walkout. One day Im sitting there working, trying to pluck out an ear hair and finally, I pull it out. I turn around and there are 4 hispanic home repair guys there to work on some siding. They'd stood there several minutes apparently watching me groom. Months later I'd hired them again to build a deck and the exact same thing happened. Im sure there were some conversations later about what the fuck is up with this gringo and ear hair.

My wife loves to sneak up and pull out the long hairs on the outside of my ear. As for the ear canal, they make a little electric trimmer that’s for ladies to trim their eyebrows. It fits in my ear and i can remove the long hairs there easily. The little trimmers could be used for both inside and outside the ear and only cost a few dollars.

Every 3-4 weeks when I get a beard trim at the barber (I shave my head bald), they use warm wax and popcicle sticks to pull out the nose hair and ear hair, including on the lobe. Nose waxing feels great BTW - no pain like when you pluck a couple of hairs yourself - and the first air your breathe with no nose hair is refreshing and cool!

The white nose hair that seems to grow 5 times faster than normal nose hair is what pisses me off most. I have the trimmer and use it twice a week just because of those bastards. As for ear hair, that's kept at bay. But what I do get are tiny hairs on the outside of the part of the ear that bumps out on the cheek. Super fine but hurts like a motherfucker to pluck as the damn nose trimmer doesn't get close enough.

Years ago I bought a norelco electric razor as a daily shaver. I wasn’t a fan but I’ve found it works great to shave the small hairs on & around the ear. For those hairs inside the ear I use tweezers.

Hair migration is fucking depressing. The sunroof is expanding and being replaced by braidable ear and nose hair. Went to a Turkish barber the other week and they set fire to mine - slightly terrifying but it did the job. For about a fucking week - this shit grows faster than chin stubble. A decent trimmer set is the way, get one that also has an eyebrow attachment!

As someone with trichotillomania, I’m jealous, plucking is extremely satisfying for me. But I also maintain facial hair, so I have a pretty robust trimmer that has an ear/nose attachment. That gets the job done when I’m in a (forgive me for this) pinch.
