I would like it a lot more if they used f-250 headlights and taillights. I hate when a ford truck/Bronco has the front and rear replaced with a f150 design. Like the pre runner rangers that have raptor front and rear.
I wonder if this is actually any more capable than an F150 Raptor R in off-roading or desert racing conditions. There’s a point of diminishing returns with these things, with the weight and size eventually becoming a hindrance. Even if it has more power and bigger tires, it’s unbearably huge. I can’t believe it’s anything more than a vanity project…
I drive a 2015 4 door Wrangler. It’s amazing as an all around vehicle for camping/offroad/daily driving. I have a small lift & 34”s so although I’m beefed up, I look small next to most wranglers and modern modified off-roaders.
Despite my smallish footprint compared to the big boys, I still crave less. I don’t wheel too hard in my Jeep so the plan is to add a second, much smaller+lighter+older+shittier 4x4 to play with. If I win the lotto I’ll prolly get weird and by an AMC Eagle 4x4 wagon, or a Subaru Brat.
In closing, less truly is more offroad and modern vehicles don’t get that. It doesn’t matter how good the drivetrain is, a lot of trails are fucking narrow and have low hanging foliage. There’s just a limit to how much mass can get pushed through some of these trails, so even if the drivetrain can the body may not be willing.
I run a 1st gen Colorado so not big by any means. I started to regret going to a 12.50” tire with 3” outside the fenders while trying to squeeze down some goat trail one night.
Turned into like a 10 point turn to get the rears between the trees while also swinging the front past the next one. Probably would have been easier with a spotter, or ditch/rock lights, or cameras, but sticking my head and mag light out the passenger window got me there.
The point being, even a half ton from the same era couldn’t have done that. No way this monstrosity could.
Aside from all that I like this concept and it probably will be a blast in the places it fits.
Yeah, exactly, and even those aren’t built for outright speed so much as endurance, toughness, and ability to be repaired with hand tools in the middle of the desert.

Looks like it has a f150 cab and grill as well.
ProfessionalDue7296@reddit
It’s a f250 cab, but you get the point
Drzhivago138@reddit
By this point they had the same cabin. Only a few interior differences between F-150 and SD.

F250 "MINI PENIS!"
NJNeal17@reddit
Hate me if you like but I've always wanted a Raptor since I saw the first models so for me this is the Ultimate edition of said model.
I love it 💙
Rocky_Vigoda@reddit
My friend had one. Wasn't a fan. Sounded awesome though but the interior is so big you feel like you're getting thrown around.
foulpudding@reddit
Nice truck, sorry about the penis.
ima-bigdeal@reddit
We all thought something like that.

Oh yeah, this truck in the desert is killer. This truck in the woods or in mud? Nooooo thanks.
Also I started with 35x12.5 and went down to 34x11 and it’s legit is better.
Secret-Ad-7909@reddit
My original plan was for 33x1050s but ended up with 12” wheels
ZuStorm93@reddit
You might as well be running a T5 dakar truck at this point...

Nice truck! (Sorry about your..)
justgassingthrough@reddit
If i would take the dakar rally to go to work, or if i would live in the middle of the australian outback, this car would be great!
righthandofdog@reddit
It looks sexy AF. But should be build on the smallest possible truck chassis so you can actually use it.

I don't wanna see this in the Phillippines.
Even if its treated as a Rolls-Royce

Meanwhile, Westen Chaplin just dropped a video about making an actual normal size raptor.
Drzhivago138@reddit
That regular/5.5' bed build? That's almost too short; it'll go sideways down a washboard gravel road.
Drzhivago138@reddit
I don't see any mandatory clearance lights.
c6541w@reddit
Not over 80” they are not required.
Drzhivago138@reddit
How is this "not over 80""? The stock F-250 is 79.9" and this is definitely wider. An F-150 Raptor is 86".

And I thought the Cybertruck was easy to laugh at...........
KinkyQuesadilla@reddit
The wheels are flared so much it makes the rest of the truck look like it was just rescued from a junkyard car crusher.
