$200 coilovers on a $1000 car
Brief_Low_7560@reddit
Just run on bumpstops
Substantial-Set-8981@reddit
Spend $200? Nah, just cut the coils and you'll be good

Save up for good suspension. This post feels like you're just looking for attention/ragebait, since you didn't even mention the car you have or the coilovers you're getting.
Pistonenvy2@reddit
i mean you can definitely do that.
i personally think the cheap chinese shit has come a long way from what it used to be. your ride quality is going to be ass and they might blow out in a year or so but youll get what you want if you just want your car to be low as shit.
also i feel like a lot of people have no clue how to properly setup coilovers, you can adjust preload and effectively change the spring rate significantly if the coils are too hard, thats not going to make your ride like it was stock, really nothing is going to do that at this price point, but you can get back a lot of response as compared to people who look like they are rolling around on the fuckin bumpstops breaking their talbone on potholes.
i mean ive done it. im running cheap as shit coilovers on one of my cars. theyre not great, but with some adjustment theyre not horrible either. depends if you care about ride quality more than hella lowz

I have no intention of keeping a resale value on this car
I am prepared to fly off the road

Be a man, remove the springs and stack washers on the strut. Let it sit on the bump stops.
HollowPandemic@reddit
Came to say just run washers 😂

There's a lot of hate on cheap coilovers. I've done $500 on a car. And it took some patience and talking with the manf. to figure things out. But the car has been great for a daily driver and very fun to drive 🤷🏽♂️
Dat_Sun_Tho@reddit
Shit coilovers on a shit car is always a fun time..... your back might hate you in the future. But that is a problem for 30 year old you.
NameJeff111@reddit
Just cut the springs man. Thats free.
Cosmonut@reddit
Rule 1# about your Money. It's your money. Slamming a cheap car the ground sounds fun!
Japspec@reddit
You have to now bro
Fancy_Chip_5620@reddit
I out maxxspeeding rods on my camry and it drove like stock but height adjustable, I chose to lift because I would fly and appreciated the extra ground clearance
Slothuel@reddit
Just cut the springs and you’ll retain ride quality, lower center of gravity and not end up hating ur choices
throwaway72592309@reddit
At that point just cut the springs and be done 😂
Carbonbuildup@reddit
Sick bruh.. you won’t look like a moron at all. Make sure to add lots of built not bought decals
CrunchBite319_Mk2@reddit
Don't forget a "LOCALLY HATED" banner on the windshield, everyone thinks those are super cool
Select-Handle-1213@reddit
Clapped out OEM suspension is better than cheap coil overs tbh. I had racelands and they absolutely blow chunks.
Famous-Extension706@reddit
That is not as cheap or as low as you can go. hockey pucks bro. Slam it to the MF frame
HenreyLeeLucas@reddit
I’m not sure if your trying to troll or what here but it sounds like you have already made up your mind.
However my opinion is buy the best you can afford. Otherwise save money and wait till you can. Do it the sloppy way if you want but you are only negatively effecting yourself.
