I strongly recommend not going to Select Aviation College for flight school. As a former employee and student pilot, I know their internal operations intimately and can confidently say they're barely a functional school. Main reasons not to go:

1. Their estimated time to complete ATPL or CPL is grossly inaccurate. At a minimum, you're looking at 24 months.
2. Cost. Their ATPL and CPL programs cost over $90,000, and students must pay thousands of dollars each year to maintain their hours.
3. Culture. I can't stress this enough: the culture at Select is terrible. Most staff and almost all management don't care about student success. It was saddening to see how students are treated.
4. Bankruptcy may be imminent. Unfortunately, myself and almost a dozen other essential staff were laid off because Select was no longer able to pay our salaries. Due to their poor fiscal responsibility, there's a strong likelihood the school may go bankrupt in the next few years.
