Black pudding eaters of the UK, what's you're preferred cooking method: boiling, frying or grilling?

Boiled with mustard from the market stall in bury is the tradition but fried with a full English is good too. I would say as a meal boiled but as a part of another meal fried.

Fried, at high temp, you want to caramelise the flat surface and lock in the moisture, if it's grilled it tends to dry out too much

Frying, in bacon fat if possible. Also the only way I’ll eat laverbread. Mix with oats and fry in bacon fat!

Personally I prefer fried or grilled I’m not too picky, however my grampa who was born and raised in Stornaway, he swears by microwaving it 🤮 he takes it out of the freezer, cuts a bit off and removes the outside wrapping and just microwaves it for about 4-5 mins

The best I’ve ever eaten (from my grandma’s local butchers) was grilled but normally I’ll fry it alongside the sausage and eggs. Recently converted to baking bacon.
