Hi guys,

I’m pretty new to PC hardware, and I wanted to upgrade my 4-5-year-old PC, so I bought an RTX 4060 and a Ryzen 5 7600. However, after receiving the parts, I realized that the CPU (AM5) isn’t compatible with my motherboard (AM4), and my PSU doesn’t support the GPU (it’s missing the necessary 8-pin connector).

Now, I’m planning to buy a new motherboard and PSU, but I’m unsure if they need to be compatible with any other components.

Also, when I opened my PC case, I saw a lot of cables, some routed behind the case, and I have no idea what they’re for or how to reconnect them properly.

Any tips or advice for a newbie?
