Will this get delayed

I have a flight from SLC to Newark which would land late tomorrow night. A big storm is coming onto the East Coast lasting until like Wednesday. Lots of rain and winds up to 40mph. My Dad and sister cannot miss more school this week. Are conditions like that normal to delay/cancel flights? is it too over reactive to change their flight to today, subtracting a whole full day of the trip? Thank you

News flash we don’t know anything you dont other than if you travel by air dont bank on getting their on time.
There is so many variables to each flight you wont know if it’s on time until you actually get to the gate on time.

Spirit took off with an active tornado in the city I’m pretty sure.
I’d bet 80 to 1 you’re going dawg

Last week, AA was preemptively canceling so many flights from DC up to BOS. My friend has his leg into PHL canceled so we looked up the conditions. Freezing rain, icy taxiways (airport surface deicing program in effect), windy, I forget the RCC but I think 3.
Who was still operating? About a half dozen F9 had landed and parked, and spirit was just rolling out on 9R when I pulled up FR24. Otherwise, a ghost town.

Yeah I think to awnser OPs question and not be a troll to the self loading cargo is.
We don’t know man, it varies from company to company. Pilot to pilot. Hell even minute to minute with how weather can change.
Your pilots are trained to take off and land in some nasty stuff, but they don’t have a crystal ball.
However, they fly as a job and normally as long as they can fly via SOPs and they will, that call normally doesn’t (I think come from them)

There's almost no way for us to say whether or not your flight will be delayed or on time until a few hours prior to the flight itself. If you are worried, change your flight.
