greenufo333@reddit
I had this in 2010
DoctorFenix@reddit
I did, but not even because it was in style.
I had long-ish hair as I was experimenting with growing it out at the time (think Shawn from Boy Meets World: https://i.insider.com/5d8a58766f24eb080017a483?width=800&format=jpeg) and when I was like 16, right before summer break, all my friends suddenly went and shaved their heads before the summer soccer session started. I figured "fuck it, It will be cooler and easier to manage"
So I, too, shaved my head.
When school rolled back around 3 months later, it was only about an inch and a half long and all I could really do with it was use some gel and plaster it down. So I ended up with one of those caesar haircuts, when it was cool, without going to a stylist and asking for one specifically.
IAm5toned@reddit
too many cowlicks, id look like this-
prix03gt@reddit
Started in high school, haven't changed since.... zero fox given....
topsee-turvee@reddit
I wish it would come back and oust the broccoli ‘do.
Practical_Reindeer23@reddit
Pretty sure all the guys I dated in high school all had this hair cut
draperyfallz@reddit
I love this haircut, more so the Clooney example. It's better than the butt cut if we are talking 90s haircuts.
PogintheMachine@reddit
Butt cut? Parted down the middle?
For real, Caesar never really went out. It’s pretty much just a “standard cut” that’s a bit thinner up top and less styled.
draperyfallz@reddit
Yup the parted down the middle. Think Jonathan Taylor Thomas
Food_Library333@reddit
I feel personally attacked
DeftTrack81@reddit
You don't anymore?
judasmitchell@reddit
You still have hair?!
undrew@reddit
Pretend-Tea86@reddit
This is pretty much what my 7yo son demands when we get his hair cut.
The stylist is always like "um... mom... ?"
My take is it's his head and his hair and he gets to make the call, but hoooo boy is it a little hard to look at without seeing this.
SirWalterPoodleman@reddit
My mom tried to give my uncle the Caesar in the 90’s, he didn’t speak to her for a week when this is what he ended up looking like. The resemblance was uncanny- he had the tooth gap, too!
fllannell@reddit
I can't do it because my hair sticks straight out on the sides as soon as it starts to grow out at all. It is not flattering to say the least.
SlaynArsehole@reddit
Tronbronson@reddit
Yep right into the frosted tips. Flavor town.
MyVanillaccount@reddit
Didn’t we all? Was there another one? It’s was bowl cuts, then Caesar, then shaved heads to hide balding.
Unless you were one of those metal guys with the long hair, that was pretty much it in the 90s
Borracho_Bandit@reddit
Not me. I had spiky frosted tips like a real man.
Odd-Improvement-1980@reddit
One time when I was in the psych ward about 5 years ago, this crazy lady who wouldn’t stop telling me about her vagina told me that I’d look really hot if I spiked my hair and frosted my tips.
The haircut I’ve had for the last 25 years isn’t too far off of the Caesar cut. It’s a little bit shorter and I don’t have bangs (the top is cut using clippers to a #4 or #5).
Also, if any of guys are bored or struggling from writer’s block, I can’t emphasize enough how many interesting people and things you see in a psych ward…
PersianCatLover419@reddit
What all did you see, or who did you meet?
Odd-Improvement-1980@reddit
That’s a whole story in and of itself, but I did meet a guy who claims that he was shot and murdered by Michael Jackson.
Apparently the guy was hauling a 55 gallon drum full of heroin in the trunk of his car when, from out of nowhere, the police saw him speeding and pulled him over. He claimed that the officer that got out of the police car was Michael Jackson. For whatever reason, MJ shot and killed this guy - but that’s not a problem for the police. The police have this resurrection pill that they can give you that will obviously bring you back to life. So, MJ and the police gave him the pill and brought him back to life.
The story doesn’t end there. Since the police revived him, he owed them and was forced to become a police officer. Apparently, if you inject steroids directly into your muscles, they grow instantly. Additionally, if you inject a combination of steroids and heroin into your muscles, you gain near super-man levels of strength. There was more to that vignette, but I’m starting to ramble.
Anyways, MJ and this guy had a bit of a rivalry going on. One night when MJ wasn’t on duty and was just driving around in his civilian car, our psych ward hero saw him and pulled him over. When he saw MJ, he shot him in the face, killed him, then gave him the resurrection pill. He told the police he was done working for them and they let him go.
This is just one story from one guy that I’ve met. I’ve got way more where that came from!
cuentaderedd@reddit
Glad you have been getting the help you need. Thank you for sharing
ObiWan-Shinoobi@reddit
And pookah shell necklace.
Borracho_Bandit@reddit
Nah, I had the metal beads with hemp wrapped around them.
Particular-Adagio516@reddit
I was shaving my head by the 90’s
seivad9@reddit
Such a dude 😎
Outrageous_Lychee819@reddit
angrybadger77@reddit
Yes then went spikey for about a decade lol
TulsaOUfan@reddit
We all did.
pamakane@reddit
I did but it looked terrible. Didn’t have the right hair for it.
Similar-Sir-2952@reddit
Still do but a bit thinner up top
6BigZ6@reddit
I had a receding hairline at age 12 and went full shaved by 20. I did have a mullet at age 8, but my hair was already trending towards “I don’t know what’s happening up front, but the party is still back there, albeit confused.
ApexAquilas@reddit
So a real Caesar cut? (Me too)
justbrowse2018@reddit
More like Little Caesars cut
bigSTUdazz@reddit
Haircut Haircut!
Jonestown_Juice@reddit (OP)
Hey-o!
Drum_Eatenton@reddit
It’s very forgiving of my receding hairline
Majestic_Market2006@reddit
So glad I'm not the only one
ForceGhost47@reddit
Yep. Much thinner
Consistent_End7756@reddit
I did in high school lol
MaestroLogical@reddit
Early 90's was the part down the middle, slightly long style.
Late 90's I had the Caesar...
In fact, I kept that until around 2008 when I finally decided my balding was severe enough to warrant just going completely shaved.
Cael_NaMaor@reddit
I mean... if you shave your head & just let it grow back, at a point it does this naturally. So yeah... had it several times.
I one-upped this though, in that my hair has a little natural wave in it at about that length, so I quite literally had a Cesar
SamRaimisOldsDelta88@reddit
Nah, but I bleached my hair like Eminem.
The_Best_Yak_Ever@reddit
Guilty as charged…
still_hawaiian@reddit
I must admit that I did. In my defense, I was also enlisted in the Army.
Impossible_Stomach26@reddit
Who's the dude on the left? I recognize George Clooney.
AZX3RIC@reddit
Not George Clooney.
LittleSubject9904@reddit
My dad has had this haircut for 60 years.
IceSmiley@reddit
I had the Asian guy equivalent and it looked shit because it doesn't work well with that kind of hair that stubbornly won't go down. Now my hair stubbornly won't grow 🧑🦲🤣
FfejMos@reddit
I mean, it aged better than the 90s bowl cuts.
TalesByScreenLight@reddit
Never liked that look. Dippity-Doo hair gel, slicked back, then shaken into rock hard tentacles was more my thing.
KDallas84@reddit
Late 90s, finally broke my Mr Spock haircut streak. Then I rebelled and grew out my hair.
tipseymcstagger@reddit
I had the “window blinds” cut. Hair parted down then middle with the bangs hanging over my eyes.
I still have the same cut 😅
Wak3upHicks@reddit
I went from buzz cut to long af. Now I have the Vegeta going on
gummyneo@reddit
Fun fact, Clooney used a flowbee and thats why his hair rarely changes
Cool_Dark_Place@reddit
Rapidwatch2024@reddit
It sucks as it cuts!
Cool_Dark_Place@reddit
Well, it certainly does suck 😂
Rapidwatch2024@reddit
It's sucking my will to live!
smrtgmp716@reddit
My friend’s dad invented that.
shroomsAndWrstershir@reddit
Uses. Present tense.
IceLapplander@reddit
Never did thankfully, i went from long hair to Mohawk during the 90's.
Q_IdontNIeNTiENDO@reddit
Guilty. I have curly hair so it looked like shit.
VashMM@reddit
I had hair down to my stomach for a while, and then shaved it into a 9" mohawk.
That or I just shaved my head.
ispeektroof@reddit
I was rocking the Devon Sawa middle part for years.
thisismyecho@reddit
Had? Still rocking it
Tdk1984@reddit
Never. Rocked a flattop instead
JuliusSeizuresalad@reddit
To busy with my hair past my shoulders and wearing flannels year round
Deletedmyotheracct@reddit
I did but then I pushed up the very front, and those front spiked up pieces were highlighted blonde lol
LKayRB@reddit
Yall. My husband still wears this cut.
La_Croix_Life@reddit
Mine too. He loves his bangs and will never change.
clippervictor@reddit
TIL that was called the “Caesar’s cut”
Johnykbr@reddit
Yep. I did
Ok-Orchid-5646@reddit
And did you slather on gel and make the fringe/bangs pointy?
japandroi5742@reddit
Clooney in From Dusk Til Dawn. Ultimate Caesar
jsusbidud@reddit
Curtains 100%
hamsterballzz@reddit
I must admit. I rocked that for a couple years
PersianCatLover419@reddit
Yes I did.
DannyA88@reddit
Frosted tips yes.. always would ask for the George Clooney when id go in lol.
Joelouis57@reddit
🙋
Fiveohh11@reddit
I got the ricky martin special as my barber called it.
I_seek_the_triforce@reddit
I went from a high undercut to a Caesar in 98.
ILikeBumblebees@reddit
In 98, that would have been Trajan.
ILikeBumblebees@reddit
This hairstyle was popular in both the 90s and the 1990s!
PhilosophyObvious988@reddit
Still have but I'm fully grey at 39.
ArchSchnitz@reddit
Guilty...
PoopingDogEyeContact@reddit
There are a lot of Hansen-caught predators with this haircut
MrMaryMack@reddit
After I cut off my long hair, I moved directly to that hairstyle. It lasted until I started really going bald. Now I’m just bald.
Jonestown_Juice@reddit (OP)
Same.
Gold_Karma@reddit
Still have mine, to a degree.
sexwiththebabysitter@reddit
A bleached Caesar at 16. First night with the new ‘do I got arrested. Guess I got the attention I wanted.
tommccabe@reddit
this is a mugshot worth keeping
NoContextCarl@reddit
Still do and just thankful to have a full head of hair that isn't gray at my age.
EatLard@reddit
So there’s a name for the way I’ve always worn my hair. Neat.
Major_Actuator4109@reddit
Seriously everyone did
redmeansdistortion@reddit
I did not have micro bangs. Usually the more douchey fellas in my school sported that hair.
summerlea1@reddit
I had long hair to my shoulders most of the 90s into the early 2000s. I wanted to cut it and try this hair style but glad I did not.
TrophyDad_72@reddit
I remember going into a hair stylist asking for a Caesar cut and she didn’t have a clue
_smoke_me_a_kipper_@reddit
I'm a woman and this is basically my hair right now.
AgeScary@reddit
Guilty
Dave-justdave@reddit
Ewww no never
Zulers_Sausage_Gravy@reddit
Had?
Unruly_Evil@reddit
Second this...
DHammer79@reddit
Still do, just a lot more grey in it.
victorcaulfield@reddit
TIL I have a Caesar haircut.
Vivid-Individual5968@reddit
The hold that boys with Caesar cuts, hoop earrings and soccer shoes had on me is so embarrassing. 😳
alucardian_official@reddit
Not me because no one told me
EidolonRook@reddit
Was I supposed to stop?
No one told me.
You guys….
sounds_like_kong@reddit
Nope I was hair parted down the middle that started to lengthen as I got more and more into grunge
thenumbersthenumbers@reddit
Big time.. was years before I moved away from it.
jjhart827@reddit
I always wanted to, but didn’t have enough hair to pull it off by the time I was 19 or so.
Messijoes18@reddit
Yup
edwardothegreatest@reddit
That was the dumbest trend.
Huck84@reddit
Does a bowl cut count?
rlovelock@reddit
At 11 years old in 1994 I remember coming to school with this cut and one of the older boys with an undercut started making fun of me. Then one of his friends stepped in and said something along the lines of, "actually his haircut is really trendy." 😂
My mom was/is a hairdresser.
Schmuck1138@reddit
I tried it, but with my big head it looked like crap, so I went with the Tyler Durden spiky look
dart51984@reddit
I had a mushroom cut parted down the middle like a real man. (I got made fun of a lot in school…)
iggles311@reddit
Bob-Dolemite@reddit
sigh
i still do
LlewellynSinclair@reddit
I’ve had the same basic haircut for 40+ years except when I wanted my hair spiked in 1st grade ca. 1988/89, and when I got a buzz cut when I started losing my hair due to due to cancer ca. 2019/20. (Never lost it because I never did chemo, and any hair loss now is just age and genetics, but it was just a fuck it, if I’m losing it, I’m losing it on my terms).
anOvenofWitches@reddit
Some men had the skull to get away with the Caesar. I did not. Possibly the worst hairstyle I’ve ever had.
Queer_Taina@reddit
I'm a girl and I had it🤣🤣
sauvandrew@reddit
Yeah, I did in college. Oye.
SOMFdotMPEG@reddit
You should see what kids in my community do now. Google, “Edgar haircut”
Hipcatjack@reddit
…..I miss hair.
MissedTakenIDidntHe@reddit
I was well on my way to bald by 20 so I was already shaving my head by 96-97
the_kid1234@reddit
My hair has a natural part so I went with the floppy undercut.
Shadrach77@reddit
We’re all doing the Pompadour with a trimmed beard now, right?
We did the goatee thing a while back but now only X-ers are holding on to that.
Actual-Independent81@reddit
The man bun was definitely a younger millennial thing in my area. I never saw anyone near my age with one.
I for sure rocked the longish hair and goatee back in the day.
Complete-Dimension35@reddit
All of us.
TrustAffectionate966@reddit
I had a pompadour. I can still do one once in a while.
🧉🦄
CryptoWarrior1978@reddit
I did and I shouldn’t have
demart77@reddit
As someone who started balding in his 20s. It was my go to haircut. Now there’s not enough to even try so I just go bald :)
EastTXJosh@reddit
I had the Caesar from roughly 1995 until 2020.
braywarshawsky@reddit
Guilty.
Endryu727@reddit
This was better than the Ellen Degeneres lesbian haircut that some white dudes rocked like Leo DiCaprio
Frio_Sanchez@reddit
Yo!!!! Right here boss!
catsoncrack420@reddit
Yep and I kept it ever since.
Rude_Man_Who_Shushes@reddit
Caesar with the frosted tips. N*Sync had nothing on me
Newyew22@reddit
Sad Wedding Picture noises.
KrayzieBone187@reddit
My barber had two cuts. A buzz cut and the George Clooney.
jl55378008@reddit
Still iconic in South Louisiana

Stompedyourhousewith@reddit
The Leo was the superior cut
peterfromfargo@reddit
Bonus points if you had frosted tips 😂
ryhoyarbie@reddit
My older brother had that haircut in 1997.
noronto@reddit
My bald ass is rocking this right now.
