They still wear the band t-shirts all the time in the newest seasons, just not when its an episode where they're middle aged like we are haha

Yeah, that's the disappointing part. I'm in my 40s and still wear band t shirts, often with shorts.
Still love the new seasons though. Can't wait for the King of the Hill reboot.

For some reason on MTV his shirt was Metallica, but in print for advertising it was Slayer. Maybe they didn’t have permission?

It was in the scenes where the animation was very poor quality, I guess Slayer didn't give them a license to use for the longterm and Metallica did

Yeah thats due to licensing they had to change it on most other appearances other than the show (Toys/comics)
