Best chocolate cake (with or without berries) in town?

I woke up at 5:45 am on a Saturday morning because I had a dream I’d just eaten a slice of the most amazing chocolate cake which I think had some raspberries or raspberry jam in it a friend had brought to a dinner, and I had to Google the name of the bakery up in Addison (I was willing to make the hike from East Dallas) it had come from just to make sure it wasn’t real. Sadly it was all a figment of my imagination.
Now, of course, I’m on a mission to find it IRL. I’ve tried and liked the chocolate cake from Central Market, but I know there must be better. What’s the best you’ve found, either with or without berries, and where did it come from?
Thanks in advance. Restaurants, bakeries, and really anywhere that will sell me something great is what I’m looking for. What have you got to recommend?

Henk's European Bakery

Omg, on this recommendation I just got one of their chocolate raspberry cakes and ate a slice for lunch. It was so good!

I'm glad you had a chance to enjoy it!

*Henk’s European Deli & Black Forest Bakery…their Black Forest cake and Chocolate Mousse cake are really really good. Everything is good there actually.

Yes! Their chocolate strawberry cream cake is our favorite in the whole city. The chocolate shavings on top are ridiculous.

You might want to cut back on whatever you're taking before bed! :-) But enjoy whatever cake you actually score.

Here is what I posted in the other thread.
Village Baking Co. is the best in DFW, but they don’t make it anymore.
Julie’s at Grandscape is 2nd best. Classic old fashioned thick slabs of chocolate cake with a lighter buttercream.
T2. Sprinkles. Surprisingly, their whole chocolate cake is fantastic. This is always my choice for my son’s bday.
Tulla in Frisco makes a pretty good one. You can get it by the slice or whole. I believe they use Valrhona cocoa.
Portillo really hits the spot but you can definitely tell it’s not quality ingredients. Still very enjoyable.
Meso Maya has a good Mexican chocolate cake but it’s closer to a brownie with a chocolate rum sauce.

This restaurant is just beyond delicious. Such a hidden gem.

Metropolitan Cafe downtown had the BEST chocolate cake. They made it fresh every day. RIP Metropolitan Cafe.
It’s in Frisco, and it’s a hotdog-centric place, but Portillo’s also has a great chocolate cake!

I miss the Metropolitan Cafe. I never had anything there I didn’t like. Never tried the chocolate cake though.

PF Changs used to have a dessert called the Great Wall. It was a delicious chocolate cake layered with raspberry preserves. Maybe they still make it?

Hi neighbor from E. Dallas! Medium Rare has a surprisingly good chocolate cake. I ask for a side of ice cream. It will set you back $12 but it's definitely for 2-3 peeps or cake for days of solo :)
casiepierce@reddit
And it will last three days, it's about the size of a whole third of the cake.

I /love/ the tower of power cake from Eatzis. It’s chocolate cake + chocolate mousse + chocolate ganache + berries, and transports me to a place of joy.
