Just wanted to share a few photos from my trip to the Pima Air and Space Museum in Tucson, AZ.

Incredible place! My only visit was totally unplanned. When I woke up that morning, I never thought I’d be looking at an SR-71 in a few hours, let alone running my hand down that gorgeous body chine! Crossed a few things off the ‘ol bucket list that day.

I was not even into aviation when I first went and this was my 4th visit, it truly is a great museum. They have acquired 77 acres to add a Military Vehicle museum and I will be going back for that as well!

I was there in the summer of 2015. I had just finished wrapping up my father’s final affairs and was leaving Tucson for Oklahoma when I quite literally stumbled across a flyer for the museum in a gas station. When I say stumbled across, I mean that I tripped over the rack that held the flyers on my way in to pay for my gas!! My maternal grandfather had been a lifelong pilot of some note, so growing up in the aviation community and living on a private airport was my everyday normal. So, for me, this place is pure eye candy! Well, since it had been a really crappy week all the way around, and since my business was concluded, I couldn’t have planned a better diversion to decompress and get my head together. Spent the entire day there, and was one of the last people to leave. Amazing how the stars managed to align that day, and I think the circumstances just made me appreciate it all the more.

What a wonderful memory in such an emotional time. It is definitely easy to spend hours wandering around and enjoying the chance to see these amazing machines up close.
