The Clock at Grandma’s House Says it’s 7:30pm

It was like our very own sun dial. If Jeopardy was on TV, it must be between 7:30 and 8pm.
corvus_wulf@reddit
My roommate said his family watched it at 7 not 7 30pm
I thought he was just messing with me but in Pittsburgh it did air BEFORE Wheel , that's just wrong .
SpaceLemur34@reddit
No wrong is when I moved to the central time zone and it came on at 4, with wheel at 6:30.
mac117@reddit
NYC checking in. It’s always been, and still currently is, at 7pm with Wheel at 7:30
katie_cat_eyes@reddit
In the NYC market, it was on at seven followed by the wheel! It still is!
zoom518@reddit
Yeah, there’s a whole part of a Jeopardy on tv article on wiki talking about its NYC history:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Broadcast_of_Jeopardy!?wprov=sfti1#Early_years
I’ll add that on Long Island there was a station that was allowed to air Jeopardy and Wheel at 6pm. Until CBS bought it they were useful for airing syndicated shows at convenient timeslots.
surv1ve_and_advance@reddit
7pm in our market too, before Wheel. The opposite feels weird to me. Gotta watch Wheel after Jeopardy, that way you redeem yourself after feeling stupid for half an hour.
Funkopedia@reddit
It's always the opposite for me. I do well in Jeopardy, can never solve anything in Wheel. "I've never heard that phrase before in my life"
corvus_wulf@reddit
Ha fair enough
M_J_E@reddit
Chicago has Jeopardy! at 3:30pm and Wheel at 6:30 with a bunch of local and national news in between.
YinzaJagoff@reddit
Yes this.
It was really weird for me seeing Jeopardy on so late as I’m from Chicago and was used to seeing it on in the afternoon.
l-threonate@reddit
Yes, NOLA too.
Years later, I moved into the heart of the giant beast, Houston, Jeopardy was on at 1530, wheel at 1830. Then in 2008, about halfway through the year, when the program "the doctors" premiered, they aired it at 1500 (3:00 p.m.), and bumped Jeopardy all the way to 2235, (10:35 p.m.)
l-threonate@reddit
New Orleans had Jeopardy at 430 pm and Wheel at 630 pm.
exick@reddit
what on earth
actionerror@reddit
That’s really messed up
actionerror@reddit
Yeah I thought it’s always Jeopardy at 7 then Wheel of Fortune at 7:30.

Ir was Wheel for my grandmother. If she was visiting our house and it turned 7pm it didn't matter what my sister and I were watching she'd just change the channel on us without warning. Honestly I have loved game shows since an early age so I didn't care that much. I still love Wheel and especially Jeopardy. I even tried out for Jeopardy once.

In Pittsburgh it was 7pm Jeopardy and 7:30 wheel of fortune, and broadcasted on NBC not CBS
mexicantruffle@reddit
Bro, Wheel and Jeopardy every night for me.
harlembornnbred@reddit
7 in nyc and I still watch almost everyday
Select_Asparagus3451@reddit (OP)
I wish I had cable still. Watching it on demand doesn’t feel the same.
harlembornnbred@reddit
I agree. It's something about the broadcast of it that adds to the enjoyment

I look at that picture and I can hear Regis complaining about how his buzzer isn't working correctly.
Select_Asparagus3451@reddit (OP)
Ha! I forgot about that.
jraa78@reddit
There was an old jeopardy computer game, might have been on floppy disk, that i wish I could find a screenshot of. The default contestants were named Dick, Rod and Peter (or some similar variation). I remember wondering how excited the programmers must have been to slip that by qa. Or maybe everyone was in on it.
wanderingzac@reddit
I remember that, I liked that game, memory unlocked!
aenflex@reddit
I watched this with my mother.
Jupiter68128@reddit
What is, it was on at 5:00 pm in Lincoln, Nebraska, Alex?
Leraldoe@reddit
Not with those scores it isn’t

I miss when TV used to be comforting; even if it was just a delusion.
three-sense@reddit
I don't like new-guy that hosts now
Sisselpud@reddit
Due to my proximity to the Canadian border, it was on a two different times on CBC and NBC in my market. So if you wanted to look like a genius and had no morals, one could watch the earlier broadcast and then just dominate in from of people on the second viewing.
three-sense@reddit
That's so petty and I probably would've done it lol
keekeegeegeedobalina@reddit
In Colorado it was on at 6:00 and Wheel of Fortune followed at 6:30
SweetCosmicPope@reddit
We're watching the latest season of Celebrity Jeopardy currently. lol
lsp2005@reddit
It is on at 7 in the NY market. Wheel is 7:30.
Seven22am@reddit
Grandma's house!? This is appointment viewing in my house! Wait a minute....
Select_Asparagus3451@reddit (OP)
At least you’re keeping it real 😀✊
Gian_Luck_Pickerd@reddit
7:00 has always been Wheel time here
AppropriateAmoeba406@reddit
Just finished Wheel of Fortune. Time for Jeopardy!
Reasonable-Wave8093@reddit
it’s time for her program!
