Airbus wings always seem so much smoother than Boeing wings.

I think it's just the number of lift devices present on the boeings. Airbus generally likes to go for a very clean wing, while boeing crammed lift devices such as spoilers, flaps, slats, leading edge slats, etc into their wing to increase/decrease performance in certain characteristics of flight.

I’m pretty sure this plane was less than a year old at the time. The cabin seemed brand new and the windows weren’t showing any wear from weather/cycles.
The plane was only 20-30% full. All of us had a row to ourselves. It was a pretty cool experience.
Less than a month after the flight, SAA stopped flying and went bankrupt.
