Had them all over western NY. They started disappearing in the 90s. All gone now.

Im from Buffalo, perhaps this was a local thing.

"Not in Buffalo, no. It's an Albany machine."

I’m from Ontario. We would see these when we crossed the border into NY. They were such a novelty to me - I got excited whenever we passed one.

Lived on Ideal Street, we had one on the corner at William. Used it all the time.

I’m from Buffalo too. I know exactly where you mean. We had one on Seneca near the city line.

I live in Tempe Arizona. . thus is the first time hearing about this.

I'm from Wisconsin, even I've never seen one of these.

Wow, that's interesting, i wonder how these came to be isolated to a small region

I lived in the middle of nowhere. We had cows for that sort of thing.
RightInTheBuff@reddit (OP)
You had public vending cows?

I've always lived out west, never seen one of those before. I like the idea though.

Ew.

No, but we had a drive thru convenience store. My dad was always buying milk, lotto tickets, and newspapers.

1983 here. Never seen this in my life.

Mrs. Morrison died in 2004.
Open-Cryptographer83@reddit
I wish I had, but then again in the middle of a Florida summer that machine would have only dispensed sadness.
ChewieBee@reddit
Chewy sadness.
Open-Cryptographer83@reddit
You are braver than I am. I would have stopped at “lumpy sadness”. To discover it had a chewy quality would take a level of fearlessness that I don’t have.
DanicaDarkhand@reddit
Not milk, but had an egg one.
AdBudget6777@reddit
I live in Germany now. Still have both egg and milk machines. They’re not everywhere, but there’s an egg one about a 10 minute drive away! Crazy part is there’s a grocery store about a block away too!
RightInTheBuff@reddit (OP)
That's even wilder lol
UnderDog_1983@reddit
This is so strange to me
Rough-Boot9086@reddit
