5080 and chipped 12vhpwr cable

Hello everyone!
So I recently got a 5080 FE edition and while everything seems to go smoothly I got quite paranoid with the melting cable issue.
My PSU is a Corsair SF-L 1000 and the cable given was a 12vrhpwr GPU side going to 2 type 5 PSU side.
While making sure the 12vrhpwr was indeed inserted to the maximum, I noticed some chips on the rubber parts of the cables. I find its weird but maybe it happened while handling it.
Just to be sure, I bought this cable with robust sleeves
Is it going to be compatible? Is this a safe cable?

Normally nothing I would worry about but If the new cables works the same I'd rather get something more robust

Should be fine, there is no visible wire and it's not a deep cut.

Ok thanks!

If Corsair did not messed it up and both, the PSU and the cable, are indeed Type5 - it should be OK.

Ok thanks! If what is written on the cables and the PSU is to be believed, it's type5 yeah
