Lankeleisi is a scam

I bought an ebike "LANKELEISI XT750 SPORTS Electric Folding Bike" a year ago.
This bike fulfilled its role for a year: great design, no friction / resistance when using it without the motor, a motor powerful enough to go at 40km/h, not too heavy for a foldable.... then everything went downhill
Well, there was a noise on the rear disc due to the rather flexible rear wheel. But above all I broke the freewheel of the rear wheel. And it's impossible to change it, it turns out that you have to buy a rear wheel (with the motor) as soon as you break the freewheel, or 450€ per year.
Not only was I scammed but they also made fun of me by ignoring my messages.
Stop buying cheap Chinese ebikes. They are cheap for a good reason: they are crap, unreliable, dangerous, substandard and will break down after a year with the fairly high risk of being irreparable.
Better to save money and buy more expensive but much more reliable products.

I got this one from Lankeleisi. So far its an amazing bike. Very robust and snappy. Dual motor 1000w each motor. Samsung 21700 cells 48v 20a. entry level 4 piston hydraulic brakes with 180mm that works great so far, tourney gears that i never use.. almost 50kph and i weigh 120k+. I have 400km right now on it, its still good as new. The support also is there so far for me answering questions. also i ve saw other ppl getting a hole new bike back from warranty while they broke the frame(on an other model). And other are complaining like u do but they usually bought it from a third part. So i cant be sure. I assume that ur motor might was out of warranty after a year. Not every bike is good in every "company". Some have issues everywhere. But some are good for the bucks. I hope i will stay on this category even tho u made me nervous and cautious about ur situation. I hope u find a solution

Yes, I have the same bike with no complaints so far, I mean NONE, and that’s rare for me. My son was riding a 2025 Yamaha ttr 230 and got stuck in a big. I road right past him with no problem at all. I wonder why they don’t make more motor bikes two wheel drive. It’s a blast!

I have the same and just went over 5000 km. I changed the seat tube for a longer one. The front shocks are loud but work but I will replace them soon with pneumatic. The throttle failed snd they replaced it. The rear motor failed and they replaced it. Service support has been great. I replace the tires after 1200 km with kenda and Tannus armor inserts. I welded together 2 hardened steel torque arms to fit the screw holes in the frame. The torque ripped the soft steel and caused the motor wiring to rip. I soldered in a replacement wire. I love the bike. It is so good and fun to ride.

I m almost at 2000km. I have the bike for a year, so warranty is over for me. So far i ve change the tires with schwalbe super moto. They r light with good grip. Bike is more nimble now and u hear only the motors on the road. I ve change the seat tube as well but i choose a suspension seat post instead, a cheap one, but it works. Front suspension is loud indeed, i cant find something in greece to replace them unfortunately. Amazon doesn't ship everything here. Haven't problems so far with torque arms or the motors, but i ve heard the motors are the first to fail usually. I guess i m still good because my route to work is like 4km only to go and 4km to back home, and even if i go full throttle as much as possible, its not enough to stress them much. But i m expecting to replace them at some point for sure. I ve changed the rear pads also, they was at my door 10 days after ordered from the official site. I installed an extra front light with higher lumens(dont ask how much, i dont remember) and flash indicators on the back. Also change my seat with one of those fat n soft ones. I put a mirror on the left. I think thats all so far. I ve asked a guy here in a repair shop for ebikes to check the battery's amps limit and if i can put some stronger controllers for more amps. He said that the bms can take 50amps max, and it would be safe to go up to 45-47 total. Now its at 36 as u know(18+18) so we could change them for a 25a+20a if we want in the future if we want better performance. Also, the motors are not rated at 1000w but at 750w. But they can max at 1200w each. The truth is that at this price, we could find something faster. Quality wise, its ok not great of course. Like most bikes at 1500-2000€. But i do also enjoy riding it a lot. It can handle my weight very well even if i exceed 120kg, i ride on rain, or very hot weather too and its good so far. And for me its great to have this handle on the frame cause i live in the second floor and i have to getting it up n down almost every day. In the next 1-2 months i planned to service the motors(new gears, grease etc) with the hope to last some more time than they usually do. Glad to find someone who has the same bike and share our experiences on it. If u have any other info, I would like to hear it. Have a good day

Sounds pretty much similar. I forgot I also replaced the rear shock with a inexpensive 1000lb spring shock that works but is a bit bouncy. When I get the new front sfork set I'll buy a pneumatic one for the rear as well. The original shock bottomed out and stayed there so probably broke the spring. I am only 82 kg but the 750 lb shock died. It did get hard use so not too surprising. When they replaced my rear motor they also sent me 2 controllers so I switched them out. I don't think it needed to be done but was easy enough. While doing that I added a small charge spliter and a second battery cable to add a second battery I am building to put on the rear for when I need to go further than 45 km. That is the actual distance I get but I ride hard on very rough trails. Generally, I ride rear motor only on PAS 2. When going up a steep hill I switch to dual motors and downshift as needed. I pedal as if it weren't an e-bike most of the time and juice the throttle as needed to get a boost. I don't need more speed as I rarely ever go over 25 km/h on the trails. They are simply too rough to go faster. I ride 3-5 days a week and a minimum of 30 km each ride. I have on order new Ltwoo T2 shifter and deraileur and an 11-28 cassettte and new chain. At 5,000 km it is time to replace them. I haven't had any serious problems with the brakes but have had to add fluid a couple of times and one tension screw vibrates loose on my left brake handle. After the next fluid change (maybe next week) I'll try and figure out why it is shaking loose.
I did remove the front motor and re-glued the magnets as they were making some weird noise. That wasn't easy but I enjoy learning new things. I also cleaned and re-lubed the gears inside both motors with red aircraft moly lube. I am glad I did as I had a lot of rust in there. I have to cross deep mud pits and water crossings periodically so apparently got water inside the motors and the wiring couplers as well. I have taped over the wiring couplers to try and stop that. I was getting motor errors because the wiring wasn't solidy connected and arcing inside. I cleaned them and they are working fine now. The 9-pin connectors are IMHO a bad design and not meant for this kind of power. I do agree though the motors are reallt 750 watt but it is enough for me. If I understand them correctly the PAS is really a watt limiter. At PAS 1 it is 250 watts, PAS 2 350, etc. The speeds then are limited by maximum watts. It is probably really Amps but same effect. I also used silicone sealant where the motor wiring enters the motor as that seems to be the point of entry. So far, the battery seems to be holding up fine. I only remove it to clean it when I do a full clean of everything. I don't use or need the lights. I do use the buzzer when passing hikers or horses.
Way back in the late 70's I had a Bombardier 250cc dirt bike. This Lankeleisi bike behaves the same which is why I love it so much. I can also add my next door neighbors are also avid mtb riders. They live in Paris and come here to Hungary several times a year and we go out riding together. They are younger than me by 20 years. They also spent 8,000 Euros on each of their bikes. They cannot keep up with me ever and I have to really hold back when we ride together. They also have had a lot of repairs which haven't been cheap but they can get them repaired in local shops (interestingly it usually takes weeks for repairs). I can't do that and have been flatly refused service, even to fix a flat. My wife actually offerred to buy any bike I wanted at any price for my 70th birthday. I decided on this bike knowing it was going to be an interesting bike to ride. I originally thoguht it would fold down into the trunk. Well, that was a huge mistake in my assumptions. Maybe it will fit in a pickup truck but not in any car. I have a Mercedes EQS which has an enormous trunk and there is no way it will fit in there. Perhaps, on an external rear bike carrier, I haven't gone down that rabbit hole yet. That requires adding a tow hitch which is a nightmare on Mercedes EVs.
So, I have had to hone my skills to be able to handle the intricacies of fixing this bike. I abuse the hell out of it so don't mind it. I crash at least once a month in some major spectacular fashion. Lots of road rash, cuts, bruises, etc. I have been mountian biking for the past 43 years (IIRC I started trail riding back in 1982), really since the invention of mountain biking. Professor John Scott was a friend of mine up at UC Davis who was one of the the original inventors. He built the Woodsie Bike in 1953 (my year of birth). My 2nd wife was astudent of his and a member of the Cal Aggie Wheelmen club.I was down at Cal Poly in Southern California remote dating as I had a small Cessna and flew back and forth. I was an older undergrad having spent 8 years in the Army. I was recalled to active duty again in 1982 and spent the rest of my adult life in the military until retirement in 2009. I was drafted in 1971 and re-enlisted in late 1973 for 6 years. I shifted to the ROTC/Cal National Guard while attending University. I got my BA/MS while at Cal Poly and the my PhD at Cornell on the Army's dime.

I can also add that at this price point you don't mind bashing the hell out of it. If I had bought an $11,000 e-bike I would be in purgatory with my wife for breaking it all the time and terified of breaking it and subsequent expensive repairs. This way I only get minor heat for buying parts on Chinese shopping site which apparently cannot be mentioned by name on Reddit, and repairing it myself. Reminding her I saved $9,000 by buying this bike doesn't offset her postured wrath much but I think secretly she is happy with this purchase. I got some heat yesterday for ordering the shifter, deraileur, chain, cassette cables, and chain ring. Explaining it is part of routine maintanence. Seemed to be accepted reluctantly. I did remind her she bought the bike for me. She doesn't ride (or sail or go snowboarding) but does like me out of the house. I also have a 7.25 meter sailboat (another gift I think for my 65th) I sail nearly every day which I use this bike to go to/from and then tie in a long ride either coming or going to the marina. The secret to marriage after retirement is to stay out of each other's hair. Between the boat, riding, and hiking I am out of the house at least 4 hours a day. We are very happy.

I should add mine is the Lankeleisi X3000Max but it is the same frame just dual motors. In case of confusion. The build quality is identical. I just wanted the extra motor.
EveryMight4141@reddit
How long you had it?
Hopeful_Actuary5904@reddit
Still do. Currently at 600km. When the weather is cold, i can top at 46kph right now(i weigh 125kg). When weather is ok, it can top at 48-49kph with me on it on flat road. Max speed is not great, it could be 60. But controllers limit the speed around 50kph. But the acceleration is great till 40kph. Front wheel is digging the roads like the first day. So for in city conditions, its great actually. I m really enjoying ride it.

You are totally right, I have now learned from my mistake. Your solution is surely possible, and I thought about this, but it will be complicated to find the good one, because the frame is custom...
I decided that repairing this bike was going to take too much time, time that it ultimately didn't deserve, So I have bought a new expensive bike via a local ebike shop to make sure I never find myself in this situation again.
Kewlzter@reddit
I hope you know your new bike from the local bike store, comes from exactly the same place as your old Chinese bike. It's also very unlikely that this local store is going to be able to support you beyond a year.

Lankeleisi bike is a scam
I bought the dual motor LANKELEISI X3000 MAX 2000W. It ran for a few months, then it stopped running. I put 800 miles on it approximately. When the bike stopped working, I reached out to the support team. They are completely helpless. They barely speak English, and their emails are half-baked short sentences with requests for pictures, which prove useless in making them honor the warranty. Do not fall for the same trap.
