Helli guys,I will be visiting budapest in a couple of weeks and I wanted to ask you if do we need to exchange our money into HUF and if so is there any exchange with low comission in budapest? Thank you in advance

If you took 2 seconds to use the search function, you would find the answer to your question since it’s asked literally every week.

Hungary is essentially cashless as long as you have a Visa or Mastercard. AMEX and other schemes are only accepted in high hotels and restaurants.

It is a legal requirement to accept a form of electronic payment with a couple of very minor exceptions. This means that almost everywhere takes contactless card payment so there is minimal need for cash.

Some gift shop workers will say cash only, but they have a card payment machine hidden in the back.
