Will a current Military ID suffice for citizenship documentation for endorsing §1552.15(c)?

For the TSA endorsement, I know the common document choices are US Passports and birth certificates. But a bad sector on the cranial hard drive is trying to recall if a current military ID suffices.... What say the hive mind?

It works for the gov photo id part, but you still need a us birth certificate or passport.

Enlisted can be non-citizens. Officers must be citizens.

No, a military ID does not establish citizenship. Go to the [FTSP portal](https://www.fts.tsa.dhs.gov/home), pick "About the Regulation," and look at the table on page 13. Only "option 1" IDs -- passport / trusted traveler card (Nexus, Sentri, FAST), and an EDL -- establish identity \_and\_ citizenship. Military IDs appear only in the "option 2" part of the table because they establish identity only, and must be used with another document to establish citizenship such as a birth or naturalization certificate.

No, you’re trying to establish proof of citizenship, which surprisingly; a military ID isn’t proof of citizenship But a US military service record showing place of birth will suffice
