Highly recommend going back to watch the very first season

Yes the video quality is not the best, but there's a earnesty to it that's incredibly charming. By the second season, they had slipped into their familiar style but the first season is a lot more raw and feels less made for TV. Best of all, Adam and Jamie seemed to have a genuine friendship at the beginning before they got tired of each other and the jokes and camaraderie make the season feel more wholesome than the rest of the series where the tone and delivery of their dialog usually sounds more forced. Jamie and Adam even hug each other in S01E03 which suprised the crap out of me.
There's also some really funny interactions with the public, like in E03 the scene between Jamie and the courier delivering the helium is much more light-hearted than the Jamie you're used to seeing.

My cable is setup so I can watch back episodes of shows.
The first season is a real eye opener. It was all such "guerilla television" back then. Not near the "polish" that show exibited a few years later.
I actually like it. It was more about proving or disproving the myth and then moving on to the next one. No "ramping up" or having to blow everything up.
However, everything has to "grow" and keep moving forward and I am in no way complaining about where the "attitude" of the show ended up.
If anything, it seems like as the show went on, everyone figured out how to shoot a "smarter" show....and there's absolutely nothing wrong with that.
I'm still looking for the episode where they prove crumpled up tin foil and Coke make for an excellent chrome cleaner. I know it was during the first or maybe second season. That was such a huge revelation at the time. I really think that was one of those epiosdes that helped solidify the show with the public,

I know I'm posting this years later; I don't think Adam and Jamie grew tired of each other. I believe the pressure from producers to make things bigger and create explosions kept causing tension in their friendship until it eventually deteriorated. Even before that, when the show started, Jamie said he brought Adam on because of his expertise and way of thinking. So, I do think they were friends at one point. After season 2, everything starts to change. When the original staff disappeared.

According to Adam, they're still friends, so I don't know where you get the idea that they're not.
Regardless, I never mentioned anything about Adam and Jamie's relationship during the run of the show, so I don't know why you posted this as a response to my comment.
If you want to comment on what the OP wrote, it's ok to make it its own post. It's confusing when you make it a reply to what someone else said, when your comment has nothing to do with what they posted.
Thanks for taking the time to read this.

Any way to watch full episodes? There used to be a reddit link which has all of them on Google drive but it went down if I'm not mistaken.
