New UPS making a high pitched noise.

I bought the same unit recently. I reached out to CyberPower and this is what they said: > Due to the construction and position of the transformer, the UPS will emit this sound, which is around 44 decibels (dB), when you measure right up close to the vents on the case. > The transformer is physically mounted near the top front (behind the LCD), so the sound will disperse out of the side vents (along the top front of the case). > Unfortunately, there are no methods available to reduce the noise coming from the unit itself, as it is a feature of the unit. However, you could try relocating one of your UPS to a different room to help lessen the noise you’re hearing. The ringing sound is a "feature", and their only recommendation is to move it somewhere else. Definitely won't be buying CyberPower in the future, the sound is driving me nuts.
