We are trying to spread awareness about this high control religion, albeit some would say it’s a cult. As a jw kid, you’re:

• Not allowed friends in school. Only fellow jw friends. Seriously. No sleepovers, etc with non believers

• No birthdays or holidays of any kind (except anniversaries)

• No entertainment that’s in conflict with the message of jws… ie if it’s not produced by them, it’s “demonic”

• childhood indoctrination videos you’re encouraged to share with your friends at school. The most disturbing one is this one. Where the little jw girl runs home to tell her homophobic mom about her classmate with 2 moms. It’s fucking gross with the response.

• If you’re a US jw, you can forget college. Higher education is discouraged all the way from the top 9 men that run the organization

• Can and will be excommunicated from your friends and family if you decide to leave later as an adult based on a choice you were peer pressured into as a child. They just lost their religious exemption status in Norway for this. Cases in Lithuania, Belgium, The Netherlands, and Finland are under way.

Worst of all, is the JWs coverup of CSA and SA in general. They literally have a list of pedos in their organization that they refuse to hand over to authorities. This was exposed by the Australian Royal Comission back in 2014. With video deposition of one of the leaders admitting their religion isn’t “guided by god”.
