ULPT REQUEST: How to make someone unemployable

I currently rent out my old place as I have some a temporary situation requiring me to be elsewhere. The person renting from me has been a living nightmare threatening me in many ways (except physical), calling me slurs, and racist remarks. I cannot have a conversation with them without it turning into a barrage of hate speech. I’d like to make them unemployable. I have tons of written proof of their harassment as well as their employer name, phone number, SSN, and other personal information from their lease application. They work as a nurse, so any way to report them in a way to get their license revoked would be ideal. (can’t pee disc or poop dump the place as it’s actualy mine)

Nurse makes decent money so I don’t know what you are talking about. Secondly it’s not about the money but getting them a record so when employers background check it shows up. Also might hit 2 birds with one stone and get this guy evicted.

Bullshit I know tons of nurses who do better than most men I know. I live in NYC and nurses make just about the average salary of 80-90 k and a good amount more after gaining experience. I make like 40k a year right now after taxes single man and live just fine. Point being it’s a living there fore a decent job. Minimum wage people are making 34000 pre tax. It’s a decent job. Do they deserve more yes. Almost everyone in this country deserves higher pay but no instead we just give money away to every other country and just about the same vanishes from thin air within our own country.

This feels odd to tell a landlord. Read your lease agreement. Assuming you pulled a default template online. Discriminatory behavior and threatening behavior is usually listed as grounds for eviction.

Unfortunately even racists and assholes have a right to a safe place to live, provided they don't destroy the place evicting them is still not a great thing to do. They don't however have a right to be a nurse and their racism certainly compromises their duty of care, they do deserve to lose their job

I agree, housing should be a right. Everyone should be entitled to shelter. Except that isn’t law. OP is free to start eviction and the tenant can figure out their housing within that states allotted eviction time or go through the steps to get housing provided by social programs. The tenant chose to be garbage. Actions come with consequences. OP has the right to end lease when being threatened.

Leave the person's livelihood alone. Just evict them and move on with your life. Their bad behavior doesn't mean you should be trying to make sure they can't eat, but it's definitely not something you should have to put up with.

risky but if you cant press criminal charges for anything they actually did, you can plant drugs or even just ask the cops to search for em whether or not they actually do drugs. which will at least have the cops destroying their shit in the search.

Nope. A landlord cannot just call the police for a drug search of their rented property. A warrant or tenants consent is still needed.

Record it all, video and audio. Then take this evidence to their employer, comment how badly it reflects on them, that they have a duty of care to their patients etc, and threaten to escalate if they don't take steps to protect their patients from this individual.

typically there’s a professional board that governs nurses, as well as a union. nurses have to adhere to professional standards which includes giving quality care to people of all backgrounds, so racism and hate speech are taken seriously. reporting them with evidence to the nursing board and their union would be a good first step. you could also create a public website with the info & their full name and identifying information, then advertise it so it’ll come up anytime someone googles them. i’d recommend doing that before you report them to the nursing board.
