What is the curveball item on your family cooked breakfast?

My family always did a cooked breakfast with scotch pancakes (fried eggs on top of) and fried bananas, as well as the usual bacon and beans. So that’s how I do my breakfasts now, with the addition of sausages at my wife’s insistence (despite the fact that they screw up my 1 pan breakfast timings).

Yes and it's amazing. The chilli seeds go in the blanching water, they add a slight heat and the paprika adds sweetness. Then eat them with bacon, sausage and eggs. They work so well with either ketchup or brown sauce. It's just an upgrade of your breakfast carbohydrates. You wouldn't question a hash brown but that's also crisped up potato.. just blander

My mother in law's 'fried bread' is actually bread, dipped in the juice from a tin of tomatoes, and then fried in the bacon fat... I was *very* confused the first time I was served that.
