My buddy and I live in Tennessee and heard DHT was a good company to start out with. Anyone have any real world experience with them ??? Asked about training and they said they have a tuition reimbursement program if we drive with them. I’m Gen X so I’ve been around the way a few times lol. I did research but couldn’t really find any good dirt on them lol. 😂. I need some good real life experiences from someone who has driven for them if they still are with them.

USExpress/Total of MS are pretty good. Swift/Knight are decent as well, and pay good for newbies. Stay away from Werner, theyre a shitshow. Schneider has the worst pay. CREngland are a bunch of slavedrivers.

I’d go with Total over USX, when I was there a few years ago they took really good care of me and kept me running. I only left to go local, they would be a great company to start out with IMO.

Same. Dumbest move I ever made was leaving Total, as a female trucker and as a trucker in general. Desperately trying to get back into the field now after a 2 year hiatus.

Yeah I just started with knight and have only but good things to say about them.. (So far 🤣). But no.. I lucked out and got a good down to earth trainer. I think the biggest upperhand knight has on these other Megas is that they have terminals where you can take showers in a huge shower room and have a free laundry room.. Some have a gym in them.. Also has nice lounge areas and so far the drivers in them are nice and not dickheads haha.

I would avoid this company like hell. Their trailers not well maintained it's like playing with fire every time you going through a weight station, to much downtime, no good miles you consider your self lucky if you do like 2300 miles a week. Their pay is 0.46 cpm. Driver manager never helps.. keep in mind i am writing this from a drop yard as I am waiting for the past 3 hours just to send me new load assignment

Yeah. I decided to use a community college for my CDL And they have local companies that come in. I kinda figured they all was the same. Jesus or not haha

I just need to do my time. This won’t be a permanent solution. I’d like to drive locally or regional after a year. I am guessing all the megas the same. It’s just one half dozen or another which one someone uses lol. I did see Western X was pretty bad. I’ll be sure to pass on them lol 😂

I don't recommend this company, particularly for newer drivers. I don't know how they were rolling in the past but current operational practices are unsatisfactory, characterized by inconsistent mileage, low compensation, extensive downtime, and unreliable equipment. Trailer maintenance is often inadequate, posing significant safety risks. Furthermore, communication with dispatch is unproductive and unhelpful. Driver managers simply dont know how to keep you moving.

Their terminal is off of Maddox Simpson parkway in Lebanon Tennessee, the terminal manager named Rick is actually a really legit guy, he's a little standoffish but it was always fun cutting up with him. From what I can tell they have really long lanes so you'll be getting some good miles, but they're going to expect you to stay out 3 weeks or more at a time. I think they were starting at 50 cents a mile but this was like last year the last time I asked. My last company used to use part of their yard as a trailer drop lot so I got to know Rick pretty good. I can't say anything bad about the place.

I had a choice between them or schneider “bulk” when I started. I went bulk and “at the time” my god was that a mistake, however I was able to do local tanker hazmat work after just 7 months and get away from them If you only plan on dryvan, go dht

Find a LTL company that runs teams. R&L (I don’t work them) pays well and it’s terminal to terminal. With LTL you have to have doubles/triples, Hazmat and tanker endorsement.

When I ran a southern route, I saw them a lot. What I can tell you is that their drivers are pretty respectful on the road. If you go to pass, they back off a bit and let you around, or if they pass you, they don't cut you off. Things like that. I've chatted with several on the cb. Pretty nice fellas. I've never seen one in the ditch, either.

I did years ago. I was generally happy with em. Ran team and were moving pretty good a few sit downs here and there. Only complaint i had was our local guy was a prick but hey i aint in TN so no worries there.

I’ve been in trucking for 30 years. I never worked for them but I’m very familiar with. They are no different than swift, schneider, Jb hunt, heartland, Crete, us express etc etc
