This an allegorical tale, but rooted in reality. It’s collapse related because it projects the inevitable fate of a civilization fueled by fossil carbon sources and run a socioeconomic system prioritizing accumulation of profit over your fellow man and nature. We are indeed rats trapped within a maze of our own design. It’s Friday, so I suppose such dystopian tales are permitted even though they may mirror reality.
