You don't want the Aero bolt anyway. They're now milling away the bottom lug that helps defend against OOBs by preventing seating into the extractor until it hits home. Too many decent bolts out there to mess around with that.
Far from an expert, in fact only working on my first build, but I've been lurking hard on /r/ar9. It really depends on how Gucci you want to go. If you want last round bolt gold open, be aware that it can be either in the upper or the lower, and may be non-existent. My ballin' on a budget build is a Foxtrot Mike lower (generally good reviews, has LRBHO,) with a CMMG radial delayed bolt/barrel, and an XL upper, handguard and other parts from B King's. Should be very soft shooting. I snagged everything on sales, so I'm way below the cost of a Banshee.

Maybe a dumb question, but would this be an NFA item? Or, as long as I put a 16" barrel on it, I'm okay? But less than 16" I'd have to get a stamp for.. something?
Receivers are listed as ‘other’ on 4473’s, typically. If not, find a different FFL lol. But that’s regardless of it coming with a stock or not.
Stock + 16” or longer barrel = rifle
Stock + <16” barrel = short barreled rifle (requires tax stamp)
Shotgun with stock and 18” barrel = shotgun
Shotgun with stock and <18” barrel = short barreled shotgun (requires tax stamp)
If you were to buy a full rifle version of this at the store, then you wouldn’t be able to turn it into a pistol by taking the stock off and putting an upper with a <16” barrel on it. That would be making a short barreled rifle.
But if you were to buy it as a pistol, you could put a 16” upper on it and a stock. A pistol can become a rifle without a stamp. but a rifle cannot become a pistol without a stamp. Hopefully this helps
I picked up a ar15 lower and Glock clone lower both stripped on fathers day. I’ve built both. Both are within spec and seem to function. I haven’t gotten the ar9 but I’m tempted. Quality is pretty solid for dirt cheap stuff
If I was going to sbr one I'd use an aero epc9 which is basically a 9mm version of an m4e1. It can be found for like $109 stripped with all proprietary parts (mag catch and release, etc) already installed.

I bought some budget glock barrels for some projects. Afterwards they reached out to me, unprompted, to replace them (at no cost) as they found some issues, even though mine were fine. This is pretty rare behavior for a budget parts seller IME, so I am a repeat buyer and recommend them.
What are the differences between the BRN 180 and PWS uppers, other than the charging handle? Also, I think I saw .300 blk versions of both but there are posts saying .300 blk doesn’t go well with piston systems. Any reviews or recommendations would be appreciated!
Honestly, I haven't had any time on either. I just have wet dreams about SBR'd BRN 180 9MM carbines when I'm not broke from changing diapers and getting drooled on by my 4 month old.
