Wired freedom 2024, is it any good?

Am considering picking one up myself, just want to know how it feels before I pull the trigger. Also, I’ve heard bad things about shipping cost and fees, so what are those like
Yukon-Jon@reddit
I have done an insane amount of research on this bike.
Yes buy it.
Ambitious_Piglet@reddit
Do you know the weight limit for the bike?
CompetitiveYou9508@reddit
I am 330 lbs. I live in North Eastern PA. A mile in every direction of my house is either a steep downhill I would need to come back up or big hills I need to climb. I was hesitant to buy one because I did not think anything without a Cummins Diesel would get me up.some of these hills. We'll the Wired Freedom delivered! It hauls my fat ass up everything, whether or not I'm pedaling or on throttle alone. She's a beast!
Mindless_Mission8985@reddit
Ok, the funniest and most honest opinion ever!! I am researching ebike and cane across this post, Thanks for he info and the laugh. Fat boyz unite!!!
VariationDramatic444@reddit
Any issues? I’m thinking of getting the Cruiser version.
Zealousideal_Boat_38@reddit
No! Major front wheel wobble!
Yukon-Jon@reddit
Well that must be new.
You're responding to a 7 month old post.
deleted_by_reddit@reddit
I know this is now 3 months old but you can just get a hellbender and that will fix it
TitaniumKneecap@reddit
What's a hellbender
AntiSonOfBitchamajig@reddit
I'm here from reading about the same thing.
Legit "serious injuries" from death wobble.
Insha_Sophia@reddit
Was on the fence....worried if you were just a pusher acct. 43k karma said otherwise. Thanks for helping me lean a little further into this purchase
Yukon-Jon@reddit
Glad I could help. Its hard to find something with a better value at or under 2k imo.
WoodyOX16@reddit
Any other good recommendations under 2k I already have this bike and want another good one under 2k?
Yukon-Jon@reddit
Depends what you want out of the bike. I have the Wallke H9 and absolutely love it. Its faster then most bikes, goes up hills with ease, and the range is absolutely absurd.
I have a friend who has the Lectric XP 3.0 and its pretty nice. Its small and maneuverable, and fun to ride.
Really depends on what kind of bike you're looking for.
WoodyOX16@reddit
MTB style really, your bike is nice tho
Yukon-Jon@reddit
I don't know much about MTB types. I have a buddy who has a Aventon Aventure and its "mountain bikey" and it rides really nice over rugged stuff and off road, but I wouldn't call it a MTB or downhill bike. It handles off road better then most though, hes beat the shit out of it and its never broke on him.
Like a pure MTB though? Thats out of my wheelhouse sorry.
Edit: thanks, I love my bike its a blast
VariationDramatic444@reddit
So you have the Freedom. Any issues? I’m considering the Cruiser.
Yukon-Jon@reddit
I do not have the freedom.
Its well worth the money though.
VariationDramatic444@reddit
What ebike do you have if you don’t mind me asking?
Yukon-Jon@reddit
Wallke H9. Love it.
VariationDramatic444@reddit
Massive battery 82Ah!! Have a foldable Biktrix bike, but I don’t think I would go foldable again. Glad to hear you like it.
Yukon-Jon@reddit
I bought it back before they had an 82ah battery. Still a 60ah battery though lol.
If the freedom would have had the 35ah battery when I went to buy a bike, I would have bought that.
Long range was what I coveted.
But yes I enjoy it very much. Hows the Biktrix?
I think next bike I buy Im going to try and buy something really small and light.
VariationDramatic444@reddit
I bought the Biktrix Kutty off my brother-in-law for $500 last Spring. Thought it was an okay deal considering that it just under 300 miles on it. Than problems started occurring. New brake pads (simple enough remedy, but one side would still squeak), than the bolts holding the rack just came off when riding and I had difficulty finding the right size ( still do). Than the power would go off and on. Biktrix really did try their best to go back and forth with me, but I couldn't figure it out. I finally found one of the wires had somehow shorted and got that maybe fixed with a buddy. The problem now ( or basically all Winter) is that I can't seem to close it. On another side note I went over the handlebars on my regular bike and had a scaphoid fracture so I couldn't do anything anyways. One reason I will never get a foldable bike again, that and it's only got a 10.5 Amp battery. I think the battery doesn't hold it's charge that long either. It is from 2019 so that may be why. I plan on taking it to a bike shop a town over tomorrow and hopefully they can figure it out and not to expensively so that I can sell it.
Yukon-Jon@reddit
That is most likely why. 6 years is a pretty good run for a battery.
Sorry to hear about your wrist. Glad it was your wrist and not your head though.
Good luck on the trip to the bike shop.
VariationDramatic444@reddit
Yeah and another $449 for another battery. I’d rather put that to a new bike. Yeah glad it was just my wrists. Always wear a helmet.
DontBuyWiredFreedom@reddit
Dont Buy Wired Freedom they will do anything to Avoid their one year warranty! I bought my bike 3 weeks ago decided to put air in the middle shock in the frame not knowing my pump was broken so it let all the air out of the shock, so when I was going to work I stopped at a gas station to fill it with Air ! I read the pamphlet that comes with the bike i read up on it and no where does it say what kind of pump to use low pressure or high pressure or electric pump or hand pump doesn't say any of those. They are saying I shouldn't have used a gas station pump that I should have called and asked and the shock has been blown out so now I have to buy a new one! We'll that's a bunch of "!BULL CRAP!". The Dam operator on the phone says we don't put in the instructions or pamphlets not to run over a board with nails sticking up! I should have told the lady on the phone there's not a pamphlet out there saying that I should kill your ass or not but I'm very much thinking about it right now should I or shouldn't I *
Dawhoda0@reddit
You should of used common sense and used a normal pump, oh yeah it's wired fault you had no clue how to use a hand pump and used a air compressor and blew it up! 😆 then you're mad at them for not fixing something you w literally did yourself because of error. I can speak on their behalf they would of helped you out if something broke Etc but that is 100 percent you're fault and you w still don't get that w it is, never mind the fact you're legit blaming them! Wow. I've had them help me step by step for a bunch of different issues I've had like my charger fuse, and a cracked controller holder arm and other problems over the years and never did i once have an issue so because you broke something and didn't get your way you are gonna come on here for the sole purpose of telling people to not buy their bikes? Dirty
MookDrools@reddit
All the Wired Freedom people who were on the fence last year and bought one, did it work out? I am ordering tomorrow morning...unless I shouldn't? I totaled a Sonders and am healed up and ready to get back at it. Looking for around 2000 and a little more pep then the 750 motor and I believe it was a 20 ah battery ..I can't remember I got hit in the head pretty good. Ha. But that Wired Freedom looks awesome and it's the same size. I am not stoked about the 4" tires but I live with it.
Dawhoda0@reddit
Did you ever get it?
WeTheEmo@reddit
I have the 2023 version and absolutely love it. Absolute monster of a bike and a blast to ride. The 2024 version solves all of my minor complaints about the 2023 one. I had one minor issue and reached out to the company and they sent me a new part the next day. 10/10 would recommend.
NameCareful4625@reddit (OP)
My only question is do you ever get police attention for going faster than is legal on an e-bike? Otherwise I think I finna cop it
WeTheEmo@reddit
Never had an issue. Maybe once I was on a trail that came up to a street and I saw a cop and slowed down. But I’m sure he didn’t even think twice about it. If I’m going 30+ in a bike lane I might keep my eyes out for a cop, but I think they generally have better things to worry about.
Van-garde@reddit
Should be in the car lane if you’re going 30+.
Ambitious_Piglet@reddit
Let's get you back to bed, grampa. The kids are off your lawn.
Expert_Standard_2810@reddit
:D hahaha
KidChawlzRock@reddit
Just ordered mine! I’m beyond excited
Expert_Standard_2810@reddit
how is your bike doing ? any major troubles with the bike?
whitedragon717@reddit
Has anyone changed the front forks on this or a wired warrior?

Please beware of Wired eBikes online purchase policy. I placed an order on 5/22 and cancelled it on 5/24 via email because I was concerned about new ebike laws being enacted and I wanted more time to research this issue. Be aware that when you click to complete the online transaction, you cannot cancel the order at any point thereafter without a 5% penalty. They indicate it is a charge from Shop Pay but conversations with Shop Pay place doubts on that claim. In addition, they charge a $75 for shipping protection and $275 for shipping. I could never reach anyone via the chat and the emails I’ve exchanged with personnel at Wired have been with a very “you lose we win” attitude. I’m sorry it came to this, but I’m not used to this type of attitude from a vendor that had many good reviews. For additional information you can contact me at Bewarewiredebikes_2025@proton.me and I will email you more details.
Thelamadalai190@reddit
For anyone seeing this post in 2025.
They updated the body so it is a lot more sleek but slightly heavier (over 110 lbs with both batteries).
They added a Hellbender Headset to stop the wobble (it helps a lot).
It is a little more expensive due to tariffs, but they upgrade a ton of parts.
I now have 2 (versions of late 2024 Freedom and early 2025 Cruiser, both 60V) and may get the Wired Scout OR Predator (72v).
Just note it is a HUGE and HEAVY bike so you should have motorcycle gear (helmet, gloves, etc).

I just recently got a 2024 model. Great suspension for sure and a really nice looking bike! At my age (70) I’m finding it is a little too large, heavy & powerful for me. Difficult for me to mount / dismount and power surge makes it somewhat difficult for fine control at lower speeds. I’m finding that 20 - 25 mph is a high enough top end speed for me, and range is a higher priority. Because of the weight of the bike and higher power being consumed, range can be a bit underwhelming. I’ll probably end up selling my bike at a loss and settle for something a little smaller, lighter & more age appropriate for myself. I do understand that among many enthusiasts that thus bike is in high demand so I don’t think selling it will be problematic
Secure_Cockroach_534@reddit
Good afternoon,
I saw your review of the Wired Ebike. I'm also turning 70 this spring and looking to buy my first ebike. I'm waffling between pedal assist (only) or "no pedal req'd". I'm 5'8" tall and slender. I noticed you said you had trouble getting on/off the bike. Have you found another bike you're more comfortable with?

ArmoredDragonIMO@reddit
Just pulled the trigger on it, hoping it's good.
Cardboard_RJ@reddit
Congrats! I'm getting close to pulling the trigger on one as well. What color did you get?
ArmoredDragonIMO@reddit
Initially black, but I asked them to change it to orange a few days later (and they did.)
FullDerpHD@reddit
What's the verdict on it?
No_Fudge6743@reddit
This bike is excellent. Don't get insurance if you buy it though, waste of money.
usernameforre@reddit
How what do you think about the stopping power when going close to 40 mph (if you go that fast)? I wonder how the quality is for stopping under fast conditions.
No_Fudge6743@reddit
The stopping power is very good from my experience. About as good as it's going to get pretty much.
VariationDramatic444@reddit
Still like it? Any issues. I’m considering the Cruiser
No_Fudge6743@reddit
Ya still great. No issues at all so far.
VariationDramatic444@reddit
How do you like it any issues? I'm considering the Cruiser.

WARNING! This is a horrible company.
Wired ebikes is the worst.
I ordered $1091.47 worth of items from their online store. They delayed shipping for 2 months. Then, they sent me an e mail stating that my items were shipped. I called to check status, and the rude and unprofessional girl that answered phone said no. It was not shipped, and wouldn't be shipped for ANOTHER 2 months.
Here we are 3 months later. June 12th, 3:31 pm, the status shows my items were supposed to be delivered. They claimed this in an e mail. Nothing was delivered.
My cameras show the postal worker walk right past my house, no packages.
I reported it to Wired. Same knucklehead who answered the phone before simply brushed me off.
I checked post office. No package.
The finally got the attention of the owner, Steven, and he sent over a bunch of sarcastic emails and appears to be uneducated and somewhat feeble minded like Joe Biden.
Again, I don't recommend ordering anything from these Crooks. Poor customer service, crappy over priced bikes and accessories, and even the owner Steven seems to be a failure.
Check out 5 star or Rad bikes before risking loss of time and money with this lame company Wired...they suck!

I’m not an owner, yet, just an obsessed fan reading everything I can before purchasing.
I have heard SOOO many compliments regarding the customer service and knowledge/attention to detail from the owner. This is the first ever seeing something negative, and so completely opposite from everyone else’s experience.
I’m no Reddit detective but it makes me wonder if you have some bias to try and persuade others.
TGtrue@reddit
I have the freedom 2024 and am looking to attach a little trailer to it. I’ve tried two different hitch attachments and neither fit. Does anybody have a hitch attachment that fits? Thank you!
GroveGuy33133@reddit
Hello fellow '24 rider! I saw a youtube video detailing the changes they're putting into the '25 model, and one of them is a longer rear axle bolt to accommodate trailers. Might be worth an email to Wired to see if it's something you could retrofit. My onetime experience with their customer service was fantastic, hope you have the same.
TGtrue@reddit
Thank you! Reached out to customer support and they aren’t able to retrofit to my bike 😔
