DShK 12.7mm mounted on a 125cc Chinese knock off Honda

This masterpiece of field engineering features a DShK 12.7mm heavy machine gun precariously mounted on a tiny 125cc Chinese motorcycle. The “ammo can”? None other than plastic oil jerrycans strapped to the frame, because why not? It’s hard to imagine how this contraption was supposed to be effective, but it was captured by security forces in northern Burkina Faso during operations at the end of September.
Terrorists really out here redefining what “mobile firepower” means…

That's not a DShK.
This is a glorious Soviet DShK. Note the very visibly ribbed barrel, the DShKs most defining feature. Note that the front sight tube is by itself in front of where the gas tube and barrel meet. This particular DShK was made before the 1946 model, known as DShK 38/46 or DShK-M, most visible from the large muzzle brake with the flat disc behind it. It also has the spiderweb AA sight mounted, for which I forget the designation.
The heavy machine gun in OP's post is a Chinese Type 85. Notable features would be the front sight post mounted together with the gas tube and barre. The butterfly style trigger/grip combined with a adjustable shoulder pad and the small round muzzle brake.

Ummm that’s a original DShK 1938, not the famous DShK-M

i would not trust that bike or that gun. its unsafe, get a sidecar for that gun or mount an AK on the handlebars

They're using the bike as a mobile tripod substitute.

Don't quote me on this, I also don't remember with what bikes they did this but if I remember correctly, some groups used these as mobile gun emplacements, the bike supposedly did as a decent bipod.

Yeah this is probably not meant to shoot while driving

I assume this is somewhere in Africa?

It’s written northern Burkina Faso btw

Yes somewhere in the 3 borders region between Burkina, Mali and Niger
