Fried throttle?

My son disconnected his brake sensor on the ebox dragster and when he went to reconnect it he accidentally connected the brake power supply to an extra unused female connector to the throttle. Did this overload the throttle circuitry? It seems that is the most likely explanation for it not working now. If so, is there any reason to believe that power could have surged back to the speed controller? Hoping we can just replace the throttle.

Did you email them? I don’t know if they have any at all, but when we got ours it had been saying out of stock for two weeks and we emailed them. We had to wait a few days, but they sent one.

Did your new one work, just installed the new one and bike still has no power…

Yes it did work. When I tell you, I didn’t know what my son did so I unplugged EVERYTHING on the whole bike and pulled up the wiring diagram on the ebox website and traced the wires and that is how I figured out what he did. Fortunately for us it was just the throttle.

We contacted ebox directly. They don’t have many available, but we emailed them and they replied within a day and said they had a few new throttles ($50) and they sent one out. They are not going to be restocking the throttle that came on the ebox dragster, but the new ones are compatible.

It was just the throttle and replacing it fixed the problem!
