Will an after market intake hurt my car?

I put a cone filter on my car it’s a 2022 Audi a6 will it damage my car in anyway

If it's your typical K&N style washable air filter I would not buy a car if I saw one under the hood. They let more junk through and send oil to the MAF.

Only when poorly maintained.

I only plan on having it temporarily until I can afford to buy a expensive high quality one

If the cone filter is sucking hot air from the engine compartment you really aren't doing anything to boost performance though.

As of now I have the stock air vent thing to blow cold air on it, and it’s winter, in the summer I’m getting a like expensive intake. Is that okay

Its ok, just not sure why you would do it other than how it looks to you under the hood. Lots of engineering went into the stock air intake and filter unless you go with something like this https://performancebyie.com/products/ie-audi-3-0t-cold-air-intake-c7?currency=USD&variant=34413638385803&utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=Google%20Shopping&stkn=2aca3e1c6be0&trueroas=21591135329&gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQiAv628BhC2ARIsAIJIiK-COLpjADhmt4Jc1xouqOAmnF7fl8tiBPzALn40i1tZnzX1PWpxCg0aAqgfEALw_wcB

Well I like the sound the turbo makes and the stock one really restricts it
nanneryeeter@reddit
Oily cone filters could mess with the MAF and don't filter as well. Most of those are just a way to exchange money for a downgrade.
RedVikingOg@reddit
Most won’t cause any issues but very few will offer actual performance upgrades. Germans already over engineer everything anyway.
Floppie7th@reddit
As long as it fits, no
JustinMagill@reddit
If you thought it would be a problem then why did you do it?
AbruptMango@reddit
Your car's self esteem will probably never recover.
rudbri93@reddit
no it should be fine, just make sure the clamp is snug so it doesnt come off.
OkConsideration9235@reddit (OP)
Okay it makes a squeak noise when I’m going slow sort of is that just because of low psi in the turbo? Or should I got back to stock?
rudbri93@reddit
without seeing what its doing i cant say
Heavy_Gap_5047@reddit
Depends on the filter
