Classic Rock

Today I was driving and listening to classic rock radio. First song I heard was by Led Zeppelin. The second song I heard was by Pink Floyd. The third song that came on was Today by Smashing Pumpkins. It’s crazy to think that it has been roughly 30 years since that Smashing Pumpkins song came out. Time flies for sure!

We have a local radio station that was the "Oldies" station for a few decades. They reformatted recently. But at the end, they were mostly 80s and 90s songs. When we moved here in 1991, that station was playing 50s pop and rock n roll.

There are a lot of good new classic rock bands out there - it’s a whole genre “new classic rock”
It’s actually pretty awesome
I think these last couple of years some of the best music has come out and many of us are missing it

I heard 3 Doors Down on a classic rock station in St.Louis. I’ve never yelled at a car stereo before.

When I first heard Gish in 1991, I instantly connected with it. Still one of my favorite albums from the 90s, definitely my favorite Smashing Pumpkin's album.
