Medical card and medication questions

I had my DOT physical and listed I was on venlafaxine which my VA doctor put me on, I did the exam and was given my medical card completely free and clear. This trucking company however wants a letter from my doctor stating why I'm on it and if I'm good to drive while on it, but my VA doctor is telling me they arent a DOT partnered facility so they cant write the letter. Who the hell am I supposed to get this letter from??

Why did you tell them?

Venlafaxine can pop false positives on drug screens and its prescribed. No point in taking the chance

No it cant. They use GS/MS testing.

The only thing your company needs is the long form medical paperwork signed by the doctor saying you are medically qualified to drive. They are not entitled to your detailed medical info and should not even be asking for it.

Correct. This is a violation of HIPAA privacy rights. You better believe if something happens, they will use this in any way they can.

Call the clinic you did your physical at.
