No they are not going to fly it again. It was just restored for exhibition purpose. I went to see it. It’s just beautiful 😍

Unfortunately Lufthansa made the decision sometime in 2018 that she was only going to be restored to museum worthy status. She was originally supposed to be airworthy, but supposedly it became too expensive.They chopped her wings and fuselage for transport, guaranteeing she’d never fly again
Fun fact, the Connie bar at the TWA hotel was the parts ship for this one.

Yes, she lives at HARS Aviation Museum down the south coast of NSW Australia.

The Air Legends Foundation owns one that is flying. It was just restored! It made the trip to Airventure in 2023.
